  1. Your chocolate rhassoul bars are my top selling shampoo bar and by far my absolute favorite! I add some raspberry FO to the chocolate scent and omg it's 😋 😋 😋 delicious!

  2. Why do you recommend SLSa over SCI for bath bombs? Because of only foam or more? Thank you Marie

  3. Very rare finding people like you giving knowledgeable information .honestly you added a lot of information to me throughout these years .
    Thanks

  4. I LOVE your videos and content! Question: I made your creamed soap paste (which lathers beautifully with a small amount in your hands). Then I used it to make your Lemon Meringue Whipped Soap (minus the peptides). It whipped beautifully! But, it did not lather well at all, it almost just rinsed off. I ultimately wanted to use this paste for a whipped scrub, and then added about 8 ounces of sugar to the whip, hoping to boost lather? Nothing. Would it up the lather better if, say, I added SCI to the paste/water/stearic phase to get that whip to lather well? Love your knowledge Marie!

  5. Useful information , specialy about purity test through it's pH level ,nice video 👍

  6. Hi Marie! Are all of your video recipes available on your blog? Like every single one? Wouldn’t want to miss any of it! Absolutely love your videos!

  7. Hi all. 1 other truth about sci. One of the materials it's made from, sodium isothionate, is ethoxylated. "Sodium isethionate is manufactured by reaction of ethylene oxide . Ethoxylated ingredients on their own are of low concern, however, the process of ethoxylation, may leave behind trace amounts of carcinogens. 1,4-dioxane is a clear liquid that easily dissolves in water." SCI is not green, so if you want organic or green ingredients, this one isn't.

  8. Amazing info. You have so very well covered all the important topics which are practically useful. Thank you for your research, hard work & efforts for making it so simple for us 🙂

  9. Just one thing.. can you kindly talk about the SCI grades as well, to cover up all of it.. like about the transparent grade.

  10. I made a shampoo bar using SCI and the thing I like about it is its lower pH level relative to many surfactants.

  11. You are amazing!
    What a great channel!
Thank you for sharing and sure look forward to watching more. -Momo

  12. Have you tried Sodium Lauroyl Isethionate? Last Xmas I was planning on making some syndet bars and saw that a lot of suppliers were running out of SCI so I purchased SLI(Sodium Lauryl Isethionate from Make your own because they stated it was a good replacement for SCI. It dissolved nicely in CAPB for a foaming facial cleanser and I took half of the batch and added salt and it turned into a nice thick pearlized cleanser that I absolutely love and it looks and feels like it has all sorts of ingredients but was just made with a basic formula. I highly recommend it for anyone who loves SCI.
I did a little experiment where I took 3 beakers with equal amounts of water and put a chip from SCI in one, SLI in another, and SCMI in another one. By the next day the SCMI was dissolved, which I already knew it would. The SLI was still solid but had dissolved a little bit more than the SCI. I wasn't expecting that because the SLI has a more opaque appearance than SCI.
SCMI is a great substitute for SCI in liquids because it's water solubility is higher. I use it in my fav shampoo formula and it works well for my whole families hair even though we have different types.

  13. Any advise on Enzyme POWDER based cleaners? *adding water separately to create foaming action, with the SCI as the 2nd ingredient listing?
Is that higher than the 50% recommendation for rinse off?
Your knowledge and content is unparalleled – Thank you!

  14. If I’m making a body wash with sci should I leave the pH at 6. Even though Body Washes have to match the pH of the skin?

  15. easy understanding video!thanks a lot. I just trying to switch my shampoo ingredient from SLS to sodium cocoyl isethionate. Because I found SLS is a wildly used in facial cleanser, shampoo, soap, etc. if I stop have a bath for 1 day my body & hair & face starts to become extremely oily. I dont want to rely too much on SLS.

  16. Thankyou so much i am sooooo enjoying tour videos and learning alot!! Can i use disodium cocoamphodiacetate instead or with sci?
