Thank you for covering this topic at this time especially. My hands are very sensitive to fragrance and, well, pretty much everything, so I incorporate most of these things already, but I learned from you cold water is as bad as hot. I love your brain! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!
I work in a hospital and my hands were destroyed by frequent handwashing (plus I'm a germaphobe). It got to the point I can barely move my hands due to the cuts. It was so painful and itchy. La Roche-posay cicaplast baume 5 saved my skin! I use it twice a day on my hands then I use their cicaplast hands every after handwashing. My skin feels soft and smooth now.
Thanks for your help 👍
I find that I use less soap when I use a foaming hand soap. Very informative video like always :). Since were talking about soap, can you please make a video discussing shampoo bars and whether or not they are worth it? Thank you!
I love using the Cerave healing ointment. It has helped my hands and feet so much. I slather it on all the time.
Thank you for this. It is super helpful!
Dr Dray, this video and the videos about using sunscreen have been the most valuable to me. Thank you. I am taking your advice seriously! Also thinking of your mom. I hope she is doing well!
i love how occlusive vaseline is for my hands, but it's so greasy that I think I will only use it at home where I don't have to worry about greasing things up as much. But even at home I'm thinking I will prob only wear it when/if I get those gloves lol. might just do cotton socks instead
Dr. dray…… is benzyl alcohol bad for the skin???????i need to know.
What is the sweater you are wearing?? From what I can see, it looks like my style!! Thanks again for all your down to earth, common sense advice!
lOvE LOve XooX
Does Vaseline after showers help retain moisture on the body too?
I would like a consultation with you please dr dray
What about using Cetaphil the basic gentle soap to cleanse? It says it is waterless too.
Oh my gosh this pandemic has been HORRIBLE for my hand eczema! They’ve felt like sandpaper and have been cracking and bleeding and are so itchy. The usual hand lotions I’ve been using have not been enough. I’ve basically needed that and a layer of Cera Ve Healing Ointment over top after every hand wash. Hand sanitizer is the worst for it.
a lot of surgeons wear their wedding rings as a necklace as well 🙂
Can I use regular sensitive dove bar soap on my hands for handwashing? Or do I need specifically "hand soap"
CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion has been working really well for me. Instant relief and I only need to use it once or twice a day, not after every wash. It's weird, if I use too much it irritates my skin, but if I use just a little it's so soothing. And it absorbs really well.
I'd like to try CeraVe Healing Ointment, though. At least at night.
My hands are literally on fire and I need help
Is there a difference between the Cerave healing ointment and the Cerave baby healing ointment? I can only find the baby one where I live.
Should i put vaseline after using rubbing alcohol while it’s still damp or dry it off first?
Been following this for a week since I first watched this video. What a difference!! Thanks!!
I’ve been waiting for this insight from you for years lol, it’s not like we just began washing our hands 😙
Amen to frequent hand washing and staying healthy! When I worked in the hospital and also a clinic and washed my hands before and after every patient, I NEVER got sick…not a single sniffle! I also use Earth Therapeutics white cotton gloves and booties the same way you’ve suggested. Great video!
Thank goodness for this been suffering and occasionally have irritation and rednedd and burning feeling even before pamdemic will look into these
Just came across this video…thank you! My boyfriend uses water that’s as hot as he can stand it. It’s taken a while to convince him that the hot water doesn’t do anything to clean his skin or create an inhospitable environment to germs, and only leads to more drying and cracking
Would clean cotton socks work as well as cotton gloves for moisturizing?
What about using facial cleansers as hand soap?
Is the pyunkang yul skin barrier hand cream any good? It feels like it forms a film over the back of your hands…
How on earth do you keep the ointment from getting all over everything??
Softsoap is killing me! Tonight, I bought a gentle cleanser by Cetaphil. Got some hand creams too that you recommended. Thanks for all you do on YouTube!
Can you use the CeraVe foaming cleanser to wash your hands?
Can you develop an allergy to petrolatum? Vaseline?
I keep Dr Bronners tea tree oil soap on my kitchen & bathroom sinks. Is that a good thing?
W/all due respect, about wearing rings…..I will say there are probably people who have skin issues because of wearing rings….but, as for me, I am 72 years old & have worn an engagement ring & 2 wedding rings on the ring finger of my left hand & a ring on the middle finger of that hand since I was 21 years old. I have always worn a ring on ring finger of right hand. I have never had a skin issue because of my rings.
About cuticles, I've always questioned pushing back cuticles. Never made sense to me….so it was nice to hear Dr. Dray say don't do that !
I don't wear fingernail polish on my fingers. I do enjoy polish on my toenails during Summer…but not the rest of the year.
Last night I slathered Eucerin that Dr. Dray recommends to makes backs of hands look better, then gloves.
You look cute w/the fabric headbands, Dr. Dray. I enjoy wearing them, too.
Haha I noticed a lot of men came to the hand video 😂😂they’ve been waiting too long lol
Hi Dr. Dray . I love your videos. Please make a video on sore and tender scalp
Have you tried the Cerave hand cream? It has completely saved my nurse hands when even the Cerave ointment and their all purpose cream couldn't.
Your videos are always so helpful!
Hello Dr what is your opinion on soapfree cleansers for face in this pandemic situation is it good enough
What do you think about Paw paw ointment for lips hands and face
Finally I got a reason not to wear a ring🙂
👍👍👍
My job is essentially to plunge my arms into bacteria-filled aquariums all day, which means I'm constantly disinfecting my hands, and the amphibians I work with are sensitive to a lot of the ingredients commonly found in skin care products. I haven't used a moisturizer in years, and my hands and arms are so itchy I want to cry! Gonna have to look up whether petrolatum is an option…
Thank you for the info Dr. Dray! the CDC recommends soap for washing hands. Are gentle cleansers good enough to use in a food service facility?
You look amazing!
I just take off my SILICONE ring in my pocket when washing my hands, and then put it back on when my hands are dry.
Can you put petroleum jelly on your face. Or lips?
Thank you very much apprecited very informative. xx
