The hardworking staff at Ocean Legacy, a Lush Charity Pot partner, see the devastating effects of plastic pollution every day. Their work focuses on educating the public about how plastic pollution affects the marine environment; they even take groups of volunteers to remote locations off the coast of British Columbia to clean up marine debris. Since being founded in 2014, they’ve recovered a staggering 52 tonnes of garbage from coastlines around the Pacific Northwest.

Join us as we follow Ocean Legacy and a small, dedicated group of volunteers on a cleanup trip to Lasqueti Island.

  1. People like this never cease to amaze me. Mother Earth is beautiful and pure, we all should be keeping her that way.

  2. wow lush, not only is your products amazing but this. these types of organizations that you support is amazing!

  3. Is there a biodegradable version of styrofoam? Idk, maybe if it is a thing it provides beneficial for the soil.

  4. Thank you Lush, for starting to provide more plastic/package free options for your products, in hopes that one day, we will see less plastic in our oceans. There is always more work to be done, but you have to start somewhere.

  5. I hope everyone that watches this video DOES something to change their habits!! Imagine the change that will bring, and the change your example will set to everyone who sees you.

  6. I don’t have money to donate but I️ do want to join. I️ pick up trash around my community but I️ want to do something more!

  7. I know I’m gunna get a lot of had for saying this, but going vegan is really gonna help the ocean and out own health since all the animal waste is getting dumped in our waters, and the amount of water we use to feed the animals is just way too much, Also, since people package meats in plastic, that will also obviously get thrown out in dumps and oceans. And now I will prepare for the complaints from people

  8. thankyou lush for being conscious of the state our environment is in! Can we get more companies to take part of the sustainability movement???

  9. 4ocean is also helping the oceans. They sell bracelets and for every bracelet sold they remove one pound of plastic from the ocean with the help of volunteers and dogs. Yes, dogs are trained to help

  10. I like that Lush is giving platform to this organization, but I find it hypocritical that they're amping up the whole "we care about the environment" persona while still using glitter in a lot of products. Glitter is a microplastic and there are tons and tons of articles and research out there talking about how harmful microplastic is in the ocean. Maybe do something about that?

  11. I think it would be so cool if you put the liquid products in glass jars and start a recycling program like you do with pots

  12. If styrofoam floats… what if you get a bucket of water and but the dirt in it and most small impurities should float to the top and the dirt should stay at the bottom. Skim the beads off the top??? Just an idea. Should work in theory.
