Seeing all the main characters fighting Sin Of Odio was awesome, especially after the Purity Of Odio fight was lackluster. Just spam Heavenly Peaks Descent and Big Jump Bash for that one.

Akira with Judgment Day crippled this boss into the ground with a dozen statuses, and thanks to him, Sundown Kid tore this boss to shreds with Hurricane!

What's interesting about this piece is that in this context it really shows how Shimomura has changed over the years. Like in "Pure Odio", I can catch glimpses of her final boss theme in Super Mario RPG to show she had a similar motif back in the 90s. By comparison, although it seems like this song was intended to be a more epic variation on "Megalomania", it comes off as a song that would be much more at home as a final boss theme in a Kingdom Hearts game.
Someone, someone HAS to find a way mashup or loop this song into the other HD2D songs Unworldy Entity, Those Who Deny the Dawn, and Destiny.

I just realised, you know what other ultimate boss has regenerating arms and a similar armoured look? Penance from Final Fantasy X. An apt name.

Is it just me or did they take out Odio's iconic line and replace it with a poem?
The only thing that would have made this boss even better than it already was (at least in my opinion), was to make it so that you can actually LOSE during the fight. Other than that little nitpick, I can see no better way to end the finale of Live A Live.

I was glad to see Oersted again in Octopath traveler and see his happy ending. But when I listen to the song "Megalomania" made me understand that The hate has never gone away in 30 years either. And ODIO is negative energy that is immortal, able to return in all times and all dimensions. He is one of the greatest bosses that Square Soft has produced.
