I heard the studio that animated this is different from the P5 one. I think mappa animated persona 5's opening. P5X is animated by a chinese animation studio. It's a bit surprising how good this is
What is the story correlation here, how do they relate to the persona universe in the same area as the og p5 cast? They clearly are in the same universe and know each other exist due to the opening and them looking at each other.
