And turns out the map was bad, too many open and empty spaces, it Should've been more comprised, everything is so far away and there are big areas of competely nothing between them.

I still don't understand why everyone frankly hates Payback.
A story mode that is classic but still sticks, with epic missions and quite successful colorful characters, the customization of quite advanced cars, diversity in the races (Race, Drag, All-terrain, Drift … ) and cool side quests like wrecks and a special DLC with a new type of racing and new cars.
I liked the game a lot and I don't understand why everyone hates it. Frankly it is worth it.
So please explain with good arguments why everyone was disappointed with this title ??
