Fun fact: Dataminers have found that at some early point in DS3's development, Pontiff Sulyvahn was the game's final boss. It seems that in this early version, the whole game's story was vastly different, but we dont have any details that I'm aware of.
I played ER first and was used to the insane combos the bosses do there, but DS3 first bosses are so slow paced (compared to ER) that I got thrown off when I got to the Pontiff, he took me an insane amount of tries.

Great episode! For me, Pontiff was the first boss of the game that actually got my blood pumping and the heart racing. I'm pretty sure the boss becomes trivial if you are good at parrying, but always had a though time parrying in DS3 compared to DS1. Definitely where the game really starts to pick up!

Love you content, greetings from Serbia. You made me replay all the Souls games again. Started with DS1, now AT DS3, almost done. I will skip ER its just too big to play again. After DS3 I will play my favorite, BloodBorne and the Sekiro. Demons Souls will be the Last game, the remake is just great

I'm a Spear & Shiled type. And I tend to roll forward instead of sideways or backwards…. so I end up behind Pontiff all the time. Sometimes he just "dance" away from me (well the first 2 slashes anyway)
Second & Third playthrough… I'm already overleveled from the DLCs
You became noticable better at the game fighting Pontiff. Twohanding your greatsword, using rolling attacks and running attacks to wif punish. Fromsoftware is so creative on learning u the mechanics with each boss. Good stuff mate!!!

I'm a big fan of spiders but the sewer centipedes are one of the nastiest creatures in souls games. I love those random kicks btw patches sells a ring that makes your kicks stronger, maybe you should get it.

Irithyll is one of my favorite areas, and Pontiff probably my favorite boss in DS3. Not by a long shot, there are more great bosses, also yet to come;) But I love everything about this guy, his Design, his weapons, his moves and his lore

your reaction when you killed sully was brilliant bro XD trust me… the bosses just get harder and better from here, this boss was the first ''skill check'' challenge IMO, but everything else really puts you to the test, I remember i died like 50+ times to some of them. enjoy the rest of the game bro! I wish I could play this game again for the first time.

I definitely enjoy the daily uploads I come back to watch every day. Have you thought about Remnant from the Ashes after you're done with from soft series? In a similar style game, you can put a lot of time into collecting all the items gear, and guns. It is a 3rd person shooter probably one of the best.

Nice fight. Soloing Sulyvahn is not easy. I recommend making the Sword of Judgement.
You should definitely farm the knights and witches for their armor. They've definitely got some of the best drip in the game.
Speaking of which, you should think about putting some levels into luck.
Don't forget to do onionbros questline before going to the area after irithyll.
