It feels like it was a novel before it was a game, that's how amazing the writing is. Like the story came whole sale first, and THEN they started designing the game around it. I love it.
Gamma ray canon, burn all eletrical, eletronics and even sanitize microbes dont tell me if they can create robot this advanced they cant come up with a gamma ray weapon, cannon, warhead…
I love that Herres obviously feels so guilty about sending pretty much all of humanity to die (not like we wouldn’t die but y’know what I mean). And he wants his tragic decisions to remembered by the humans that will one day reclaim the Earth. Meanwhile Ted wants to wipe away all his involvement so the future won’t remember him as the cause of their forefathers(?) demise
The only thing that I refuse to accept, is how Ted Faro's assets were not nationalized and him taken into custody. Even if you kept it hush hush, oh he is working closely with us on a vital project.
Anyone who still tries to compare this game to Breath of the Wild like they did when they were released around FEB/MAR 2017 is actually mentally deficient. This game is better than BotW in every conceivable way.
The only aspect of this that didn't make sense is that the infiltrator robots were able to hack and upload their bad code. However, the plot point is that it would take decades to break the encryption.
So wouldn't the solution be to build your own 'good' robots that infect the faulty Faro robots with a bugfix?
So for those wondering, no 'polyphasic entangled waveforms' are not a thing. It's complete technobabble, and it's impossible to make a truly uncrackable cipher that can only be brute forced. You need to be able to crack it in order to transmit orders, meaning Faro would have HAD the means to deactivate the entire swarm. You can't make something without a back door because otherwise you would not be able to use it. It would be like making a house with no doors or windows. Yes you can't break in, but you also cannot enter, making it useless. So IRL, if he tried to make it the robots would never have been able to function at all so it would not have happened.
Despite all that, this was still an awesome and terrifying moment
Yeah, I can see why reception was asking for better soundproofing in the walls of this orientation room. People out waiting in the lobby hearing people scream after watching this. The enormity of the loss they were facing is hard to contemplate.
First people try to save themselves… when they cannot do that, next people try at least to save their children… when they cannot even do that, next people try to save their memory, so that others might remember them… when you cannot even do that, what remains?
i just wished the second game would've had a matching story to the first one and more mysteries to throughout the story to uncover, more holograms to see.
Herres wanted his sins, necessary though they were, documented and known. I think he'd be fine knowing he was cursed by future humans, since that meant humanity was back again, and the price for that had been, among countless other things, his soul. He knows that this is necessary, that he will burn if there is a hell, and he does not shirk his legacy being untold oceans of blood to buy a chance for a future no one alive at the time of recording could ever see. I respect that, and I would never want to be in anything approaching this position.

I'm glad this wasn't spoiled for me when I finally played through it.

the three presentation from Heres, Elizabeth and Gaia just gives freaking chills!!no movie has even come close to that mastery !
This two minutes is the reason why the rest of 50hour story is awesome. This the core, great story on its peak.
I would work until the end, for the future of mankind😖👍

Does anyone know what his "L6" emblem is?
The scene was a real shocker for me. glad I avoided spoilers for so long before playing this game.
Don't think any Post-Apocalyptic work of fiction has ever hit me this hard.

I would like to congratulate that Character and the Voice Actor.I respect the Work.Well done.
I always think of this game whenever there's a headline in news about science research making things like bacterias that eat our trash
HFW was shafted at the game of the year awards
