the fact that the main character looks like onision is a huge red flag
I loved control its one of the few games I platniumed but I don't think I will play through it again so unless you haven't ever played it and don't own it then it doesn't matter. People just want free shit if they put in work to make the game better then you should pay for it.
One time I got division 2 max edition and 2 days later they separated the drip. So I spent money for nothing.
505's making Remedy looks bad. That's unfortunate because apart from these upgrading issues, Control and Remedy-verse are actually enjoyable in terms of story and gameplay.

The only "next gen" upgrade game i'd buy again full price would be The Witcher 3. Oh wait……
This game is overrated as hell. I only played it because it was free on PS Now. Prey 2017 did a lot more with similar elements. It even had colors.
I don't think I've ever bought anything from them before, and now I probably never will.
CD projekt Red has just angered control fans even more, they're releasing a free upgrade of the witcher 3 to next gen consoles. Adding Ray tracing and graphical upgrades for nothing, no gimmick. If you have the base game or goty you'll get the free upgrade. The witcher 3 is 5 years old…. 505 and remedy have truly fucked up.
I'm sorry but if you bought this through the fortnite launcher and supported epic, you deserve to get screwed. Karma's a bitch! 🤣

After watching this I grabbed the Upgrade Edition on Epic for $16! Good deal.
I don't mind this sense the gaming industry always does this. Later on most games will a ultimate edtion or a upgraded version of a game that includes all dlc.(Franchises like Injustice,Batman Arkham Asylum,Borderlands 1,2,Assassins Creed,etc have all did this)
Now i do think locking behind the next gen upgrade of is stupid but just because thats stupid
doesn't mean it isn't any value towards people having it or the ultimate edition existing. Im fine if people don't like it if they already have the game but what i don't know is people trying to push a narrative on games or franchises, usually the "this is going to effect the future gaming industry" which 90% of the time it doesn't factual or literally and it's just a stupid strategy or buisness practice by one company. I just feel like people are overexaggerating things and not just looking at it as one thing especially youtubers. Like a lot of people said Cyberpunk does it free next upgraded freely,same with 2k and ubisoft with watch dogs or borderlands.
Games do this and they'll release the editions after the game came out a year or more just months when there all done with dlc. This isn't for people who already have the game obviously and while i do feel bad for them to a certain extent,they do this for people who want all of it packaged together and don't have the game which keep in mind not a lot of people may have the game you have. Imagine if some people can't afford all the dlc right away but theres a bundle that includes all of that which is better deal. I haven't bought Control yet but i will definitely get the ultimate edtion now when i do.

I avoid all this by not buying games at all. Lol. I just use Xbox GamePass. There's more than enough to keep me busy there… Including Control. They just added it the other day. Honestly, the last time I BOUGHT a game, was Animal Crossing. And Before that, was Smash Ultimate. Lol. Sometimes I love being a console pleb.

This is EXACTLY why, mid-last gen, I decided to no longer be an earlier adopter. Early adopters get screwed over with little content, high prices, terrible performance, and the worst of all unfinished games that require updates over time. As Yong just mentioned, only people who never played this get the best deal; optimized gameplay, updates, all dlc, next gen upgrade and a lower price than the original release of the game. Patience is key my fellow gamers. It’s a shame to feel like waiting is the best way to get your money’s worth, but as you can see here, early loyalty, we get burned.
Control ultimate just arrived to ps-plus and this is a final warning to everybody not to be an early adpter for remedy.
It makes sense. Games like these deserve to cost so good luck to all the impatient ones 😂😂🤦♂️
