Every piece of news coming out about this makes me even more excited which I didn’t think was possible!
I'll say it… I hate Japanese storytelling and writing with a passion.
They always start slow, then the plot explode in every direction with abstract ideas, overcomplicated sub-plots that only creates more questions but will never be addressed again and finally a twist so crooked that even M. Night Shambalaya thinks that it's… no actually, he probably likes it. But still!
"Your hero works in a bar as a bouncer. Until one day, the bar explode. You decide to go on a quest to get revenge. On your way, you meet an ADHD oversexualised 2 years-old brat who uses the words" Fig Newton" as a weapon, and can summon only the left side of Kevin Costner (she unlocks the other side later).
But then, you learn that the bar you worked at was actually The End, a cosmological antithesis of one self's inner self from the outside world, also known as Bob. Bon created the world so he could cast shards of his dream into that bar. By doing so, he accidentally created Gods and Life. Until one day, the bar became The End, and with it, also created… YOU!!! Sooo, yeah, we still need a bad guy so… The Gods hate humans, blablabla, evil, fight against them to restore the balance of… Costner, who sacrifices himself and become the ultimate Fig Newton. ~Fin~"
I'm thinking that FF8 should also get a "remake" since it does have a plot around Time Manipulation. And, it would be a great addition to the story.
Is it possible the 7 seconds is how long Cloud has to destroy Sephiroth completely before he enters back into the Lifestream?

So.. pretty much anything can happen. Just so long as they don't do something like dream sequence in FF8.
Honestly, I think one winged angel rebirth beats the original. Cant even listen to the original knowing I could be listening to the rebirth version
God damn…… that music makes my hair stand on end. Its so GOOOOOOD!
My biggest fear going forward is that it's going to go full Kingdom Hearts and make death completely irrelevant where EVERYONE LIVES NO MATTER HOW FATAL THE WOUNDS ARE!!!!
Taking away one of these biggest themes of the game in the process.

What works exceptionally well in One Winged Angel Rebirth is that everyone’s having an oh shit moment, regardless of whether they’re new fans or old fans, and the battle system is near real time and hectic. The original version, as epic as it is, isn’t as frantic for a real time combat mechanics. I was truly at the edge of my seat the whole time

OWA: Rebirth is just Sephiroth to a T. Contantly teasing and egging the player till the confrontation. Once he's done playing, the chaos begins and the music does such a good job bringing that in

This remastered song is goddamm master peice!! The guy did such a freaking awesome job that I get the shills everything I lisent to it like when I was a kid playing FF7 in my parents living room. I was thinking recently that I hope after part 2 we can go back to part one with all the new added stuff and magic and stats that we will gain. Because I want to go back and finish the only thing I have left to and it's to do the last two battles of the VR in shinta building. I somehow just can't do it even after watched multiple tutorials on how to do it and beating them. So I can go back over powered and f* them up.

I don’t need the Compilation stuff de-canonized, but they don’t really need to explicitly acknowledge it so much either.
I never gave a second thought to who the Whispers were, so hearing about the connection to Kadaj and his cronies from Advent Children is intriguing.
I can't wait to see Max's reactions about Genesis when he plays CC again.
7R is more of a sequel than a remake b/c it references the original game as a plot point. That's why some are upset b/c they were wanting a fresh coat of paint while others are just happy to have a AAA story in the universe.
11:35 I called this track "the theme that won't let itself ends" cuz of this part. Which kinda goes along with Sephiroth's goal with his intention of altering fate so he won't reach his end in the remake. That's my interpretation from this track.
