A notable PlayStation insider has teased that Insomniac Games will “soon” be showing off the first gameplay footage from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. First announced last year, Insomniac confirmed via a debut trailer that a sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man was officially in the works for PlayStation 5. And while the initial trailer itself primarily just revealed the involvement of Kraven and Venom as villains in the game, it sounds like we’ll soon get a look at the title in action.
According to insider Millie Amand, who has had numerous PlayStation scoops in the past, Insomniac Games is currently preparing to show off gameplay from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 to the public. Detailed on social media today, Amand reported that Spider-Man 2 is currently “exceeding expectations” from those at Marvel Games. Employees within Marvel who have seen the game in action have seemingly expressed that the title’s gameplay is so good that it nearly looks like a cutscene rather than actual live footage. Although Amand didn’t say much else about when this gameplay reveal for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 could happen, her report on the game suggests that it’s likely on track for its release next year.

Very excited for more insomniac spidey no matter who’s behind the mask but I want to see some Wolverine! I think I’ve watched that teaser announcement like 30 times already but I need more! I’m frothing at the mouth, spidey being dreamcastguy’s favorite hero is the equivalent to Wolverine being mine.

Heavily doubt the game will have a multiplayer mode. I’m sure it was considered at some point, but doubt it.
Not every single player game need to multiplayer or co-op. That being said, this game has to be couch co-op It doesn't need multiplayer modes. Now I'm trusting the team in Marvel's praises do this multiplayer. Do this co-op correctly and we'll Don't just shove it into this game. It doesn't need it
This generation is certainly going to be interesting. Hopefully Sony has learned from the mistakes they made in the PS3 generation and they will correct the course they have been on recently. The only way I see them being able to do that is by releasing high quality exclusive content, just like they did during the PlayStation 4 generation. Bloodborne 2, anyone? The silly thing is, most of us would be satisfied with a 4K 60/ 1080p 120 remaster of the original.

If this is Co OP I'm not buying. I'm pretty sure many will still buy, but I loved Spider Man 1 for its story.
