Part 2: https://youtube.com/shorts/JWhdo1oICMI?feature=share

It was time I took on a new challenge, and one of my friends brought the following idea to my attention. I think it sounded pretty cool so I decided to give it a shot. Be sure to subscribe if you want to see how this story progresses. I will eventually turn this into a full length longform video after I finish and release all the shorts. Thanks for watching, here are the rules in case you want to try it out yourself!

SWAPlocke Rules:

1) The game is broken into natural β€œsegments” (i.e. from beginning to gym 1, gym 1 to gym 2, etc.) where a player is only allowed to catch the first Pokemon of a given type on each route encountered during that segment. The type in each segment is specified by a random draw. The SWAPlocke officially begins when a player obtains their first Pokemon, which must occur either naturally or via Pokemon HOME transfer before the player enters Jubilife City.

Note: If no Pokemon of the given type can be found on the available routes, the player may transfer one egg of a Pokemon of that type into their game via trade.

2) If a Pokemon faints, it is considered to be dead and must be released immediately.

3) Upon the conclusion of a segment of the game, the current Pokemon in the party are transferred into Pokemon HOME, boxed, or released. The player is then allowed to replace their Pokemon with eggs of other Pokemon of the next selected type. The eggs designated to replace the team members must hatch into evolutionary lines whose final-form base stat total (BST) is less than or equal to that of the previously-used final-form Pokemon’s base stat total (e.g. can’t trade out Minun for a Beldum egg).

Note: The only exception to this rule is if there are no other available Pokemon to transfer in that fit this criteria. If that is the case, the allowed Pokemon line with the next-highest BST above the previously-used line is chosen. This challenge does not restrict players to the Sinnoh Dex only, so all non-legendary generation 1-4 Pokemon are available.

4) All obtained Pokemon must be nicknamed. The nicknames of Pokemon β€œswapped” in after a segment must be the same as the nicknames of the Pokemon they were swapped out for.

5) The trainer cannot use items in battle (held items are allowed). [OPTIONAL]
