This guide looks at sexual orientation in the sims 4, and in particular how it works. The method to investigate this is through using the vampiric charm power from the vampires game pack, and seeing how it impacts on sims of either the same sex or the opposite sex. In short, I believe sexual orientation does come into play in the sims 4, with it being based on what sex the sims are that your sim has romantic interactions with.
