本日、Futureがプレスリリースを発行し、2026年11月11日に開催されるビデオゲームアワード「Golden Joystick Awards 2026」のノミネート作品を発表。本日から10月23日に掛けて、GamesRadar+にて行われる21部門の投票受付を開始しました。（※ Ultimate Game of the Yearの最終候補リストは2026年10月26日に発表予定）
今年は、Io-Interactiveの完全新作「007 First Light」と“Untitled Goose Game”を生んだHouse HouseのCo-opゲーム「Big Walk」が5部門で最多ノミネートを果たし、次いで“バイオハザード”シリーズ最新作「BIOHAZARD requiem」やスーパーヒーロー職場コメディ「Dispatch」、大ヒットを記録した「めっちゃカメレオン」、遺伝子組み替えネコ育成ローグライク「Mewgenics」、Housemarqueの弾幕アクションシューター「SAROS」、ダークファンタジー吸血鬼RPG「The Blood of Dawnwalker」、先日製品版1.0のローンチを果たした「Valheim」といった今年注目を集めたインディーやAAA作品がリードする状況となっています。
また、授賞式では、Gamesradar+やPC Gamer、Future Games Show、Edge、Knowledge、Retro Gamerといったメディアに所属するジャーナリストやFuture社が信頼を寄せるフリーランスのライター/クリエイターからなる審査員によって選出されるStreamers’ Choice AwardとBreakthrough Award、Critics’ Choice Awardといった賞も発表されるとのこと。
