Microsoft、ゲームし放題サービス「Xbox Game Pass Ultimate」「PC Game Pass」を大幅値下げ - Games

　米Microsoftは4月21日（現地時間）、定額制ゲームサービス「Game Pass」の料金見直しを発表した。同日より新料金が適用される。

Xbox Game Pass Ultimate（PC/Xbox共用プラン）：月額2,750円から1,550円へPC Game Pass（PC専用プラン）：月額1,550円から1,300円へ

　同社は2025年10月に「Xbox Game Pass Ultimate」「PC Game Pass」の価格を改定していたが、約50％にものぼる値上げに多くの批判が寄せられていた。今年2月にXbox部門のCEOへ就任したばかりのAsha Sharma氏も「多くのプレイヤーにとって高すぎるものになってしまった」と失敗を認めており、以前の水準に引き下げられた格好だ。

　ただし、人気作品「Call of Duty」（CoD）の取り扱いは変わり、発売当日に続編が「Xbox Game Pass Ultimate」や「PC Game Pass」に追加されることはなくなる（既存タイトルは引き続きプレイ可能）。発売から約1年後のホリデーシーズンには「Game Pass」に加わるとのことだが、新作をすぐに遊べなくなるのは残念だ。

　なお、「Game Pass Premium」（月額1,300円）、「Game Pass Essential」（月額850円）の価格に変更はない。
