Qualifying Highlights | 2025 Belgian Grand Prix

[Music] I nearly crash. Yeah, copy. Saw that. Considering they nearly crash or almost crash, they never do, do they? Has Jolian Palmer initiated the commentary curse? He has. Sabers drove it to me. Hulenberg trying to fight his way by and contacting the pit lane. Kimmy Antonelli, a driver of enormous potential by just going through the trials and tribulations of a rookie season. He gets himself to 11th place. Russell’s teammate behind fastest first sector of anyone so far. Personal best and eighth position for Russell. Bottom five, Okon Alonzo Colinto, Stroll and Bortalto over the line we go with Stroll. He will only improve to 18th. He is out on the first hurdle. Antonelli is not out of the woods either. Alonzo is going to drop out. Had a poor middle sector, Fernando Alonzo. And he goes, he stands on the throttle, goes up through the gears, and goes back to the top 10. That’s what he needed. Cenoda now to the drop zone. Cenoda and Aon both going quickly. Aon now in 18th place as Hajar launches up to fourth. Let’s have a look at Ollie Bman through the end of the lap, but he should be safe already. Cenod jumps up. Big lap for him. He was talking of having more confidence. He’s proved it. Great lap. Oliver Bearman, he’s fifth. Aon going very, very quickly. Anteneelli is displaced into the drop zone by Hulenberg. Aon’s improving too. They have taken all of the downforce off that car because they do not have the most powerful engine. Aon gets to 13th. Far better earlier on with fifth position. Gazzley to 11th position. Lewis Hamilton a fivetime winner around this circuit. Needs a mighty final sector. He’s picking up a little bit of pace. Can Hamilton escape the drop zone at the very end? He does so to get to P7. And we’re running on board with Colinto, the mid-season replacement for Jack Dan. Sends it to the line and he improves up to 17th. And Lewis Hamilton on our timing pages sees the time that got him through removed. He goes back to his previous effort and he goes to the bottom five. We’re going to come through on the right hand side and he’s going to cut the top of this part. Oh. The new bottom five. Hamilton, Colipinto, Antonyelli, Alonso, and Stroll. Gazzley two personal bests as he heads to the line. 10 seconds to go in Q2. Gazzley coming across the line. He moves to ninth position. Others will fancy that they can respond to that. Hajar trying to book his place in Q3 again. Great lap to go into P6. That’s good for him. And Hulkenberg is out. He can’t improve to the top 10, but his teammate can by 3/10en of a second. He puts the pressure on Estan. He’s on an outlap and Russell gets to sixth position. Bothto goes ahead of Hulenberg in the teammate head-to-head. Signs in 14th. Went for one run. Couldn’t get there. Lawson does get close to his teammate and goes P8. Gazzley now into the drop zone. Okay, Okon will have had huge speed in the final third of the lap and it’s only enough to get him to 11th. Really strong yesterday to get P5 over to Oliver Bay and he gets to 12th position. Little bit wide at the apex at Lassource. And then because of that, he’s still got steering angle coming in towards the exit. Bman’s probably added some downforce in his H. I wonder if H has have split the cars because his middle sector was rapid. into the final corners of the lap. This the first run in Q3. Final part of qualifying to set the grid. Russell’s put the first time on the board. It’s a 415. Vstappen goes comfortably faster than that. Pastri is quicker than Vstappen in the middle part, but Norris is quicker than him. Norris has turned the tables. That middle sector is huge from Lando. He’s given himself a shot with one breaking zone to come at the bus stop. Here we go. It is Lando Norris’s best lap of the weekend when it counts. Pastry will get another go. Will get a couple of corners to try and make back the time. But that was incredible through the middle sector for Norris. Pastry takes provisional pole. His teammate a few seconds behind him and he moves ahead by fewer than 2/10 of a second. It’s Norris in pole. Norris trying to take a step forward. And we have Pastri just making his way through turn number one as well. It will be Pastri to conclude this qualifying battle between the two. McLaren’s Norris going first. Norris without a personal best in the first sector. He’s within a tenth. He’s a fraction down on his previous best, but he’s close and still in range as we watch Vistappen now heading into the FA chicane. Feeling that grip on the new boots and the lap starting to come towards him. Sumptuous stuff from Charlotte through the first sector, but that Ferrari will not rotate like these cars will in the middle sector. Just has got too much to do then at the end of the lap, but Pastry has done a good personal best. He’s onetenth up on Norris in the first sector. That’s a foundation to build upon. Norris’s pole position is under threat here. Vstappen is the driver in your main pitcher. The mistake at the start when he applied the power. Fastest middle sector of the session so far. Philando Norris, he’s just behind his best time. What can Vestappen do as he comes out of the 19th and final corner of the racetrack? He improves his time. It’s only the third. So, Pastri 400s back on Norris’s original time. It’s so close between the two McLarens. Any improvement would be huge, but Norris cannot improve. And now we’ve got Charlair attacking on. Here comes the Scarlet Ferrari across the line. He improves to third. A sensational lap when it counts. But now in the battle for pole position, it will be a McLaren. Which one? Pastry to the line and he misses out by 800s of a second. The first run was good enough for Norris. Russell improves to fifth. Cenod got the top six. Alex Alburn has gone to fifth position. He’s beaten George Russell with a superlative lap when it counts. Williams returned to the top five. for Stappen. Fourth and fourth because he’s about to light it up here. Oh my god, that’s really really bad. Good to start the lap. And Lando Norris taking his 13th Formula 1 career pole position. And remember, he’s chasing three in a row for the first time in his Formula 1 career. Something Pastri did earlier in the season.

  1. Motorsports race highlights with announcers screaming in my ear constantly at volume level 10 and engine noise volume level 0.5 ; So exciting 🙄😒😔

  2. I bet Ferrari really regrets contracting Hamilton now. Was Hamilton even driving on the track, or was he on his way to the nursing-home already?
Tsunoda finally getting some results…/ its no secret that RBs car is very difficult to drive, adn even more difficult to master… even Verstappen is struggling!
Nice surprises from Albon, Hadjar, Lawson and Bortoleto.

  3. All that buzz and propaganda about Hamilton fixing Ferrari's steering and trowing shades at Charles. Come race weekend Charles is in line for a podium. Thank you Hamilton i guess..😂😅
