Feel Good Friday | Salvy Leads Royals Surge Over Tigers

Riding high on a 4-game winning streak, the Royals wouldn’t let an early deficit get them down as Salvador Perez blasted a 448-foot homer to get the Royals on the board. Hunter Renfroe tied things up in the 4th inning, doubling home Salvy, and later scored on a go-ahead sacrifice fly off the bat of Paul DeJong. The score would remain 3-2 until the 7th inning, when the Royals would reel off a franchise-record-tying 9 consecutive hits, plating 6 to turn the game into a laugher. Cole Ragans tossed 5.2 innings allowing just 2 runs on 2 hits in the winning effort before turning it over to Lucas Erceg, Angel Zerpa, Chris Stratton, and James McArthur who covered the final 3.1 innings without surrendering a run to preserve the lead and give the Royals a 5th straight win.

  1. I'm a huge Royals fan since 2014-current All ways a royal, we have a great team this year world series this year

  2. I have no doubt Salvy would have gone for a triple had the last ball hit the ground… he would have been out by 2 miles at 3rd but he would have tried 😂😂

  3. Skubal is one of the best pitchers in the major leagues,

and one of the most difficult to beat.

Salvy unlocked the key to that tough match.

    Thank you, Salvy.

  4. Ragans was only hit with a home run in the first inning,

but he held on for the remainder of the game.

Salvy unlocked it, and everyone contributed with hits.

  5. Been a Royal devotee since 1977. Grew up idolizing George Brett and Bret Saberhagen, booing Reggie Jackson and the Yankees — then the 90s doldrums gave way to the halcyon 2014 2015 World Series teams —

    The joy is here again.

The boys are playing some ball. ❤

  6. I am an old timer, been a Royals fan since the late seventies. George Brett and Salvador Perez are my favorite KC Royals.

  7. Lmao Salvy took like a year to run from third to home plate, and he still had a shmoov slide

  8. I love to see Salvy having so much fun. He deserves all of it. We have a really good team this year and I hope we get a chance to show that and surprise some team in the playoffs. This team is still flying way under the radar and that's the way I like it.

  9. Dumb this game was only aired on Apple TV. I paid $100 for a year of MLB TV and $20 a month for Bally sports and it's STILL not enough money to watch my favorite team play.

The Monopoly on baseball is outrageous.

    MLB. DO BETTER.

  10. Royals fans riding high on these clown wins over the White Sox and Tigers. Can't barely beat a team over .500 though 🤣
