Different breed of pitcher
0:11 this probably hurt SO much
LMAO the look on Mcutchins face😂😂😂
I highly doubt it. Radar was probably on the fritz. 100-102 probably. 106? No way.
love how people pretend nolan ryan did not exist
Basically you have to decide to swing before he releases the pitch
He alimony hit the guy that would have been a broken rib
What a boring announcer, guy breaks a world record and dude still can’t wake up.
batter moving like NPC is crazy
Imagined batter middled it… It could be the fastest pitch as well as longest home run too
Very impressive, but why is there a one mph discrepancy? The announcer said 106, but the screen said 105 and then later he said "a mere 102" but the screen said 101. The same thing happens in that video showing Ben Joyce throw a 105 mph fast ball. The announcer first says "104" on the gun and then later they get confirmation that it was actually 105.5. So why the discrepancy? Are they using multiple guns? And if so, how do they know which one is correct?
im in 2023 watching this and cutch hit his 2000 carrer hit
Just saw him(2023) against the Rays(he's pitching for KC) and he hit triple digits…guy is unreal been in the league for over 15yrs and still hits 100+.. that's not even fair.
Threw so fast he had to make sure he was still alive and that his head was still on.
The sound 💀
Still holding up
People fail to realize just how fast that is. We’re talking nearly in the realm of being impossible to hit because it’s moving faster than the human brain can react. Even for MLB players this is extremely intimidating, and that’s what makes Chapman and effective pitcher.
That 106 MPH ball to Mcutchen. SHEESH. You could tell he was dreading getting back in that box…..
That mere fact that the batters can even make contact with such a fast pitch is impressive in and of itself
crazy how nolan ryans fastball was 2 mph faster
If prime chappy had the mechanics he has today he would be throwing 105+easily
0:36 anyone else see this guys beer fall over and pura into his seat when was siting down
If he threw 106, Nolan Ryan threw 116.
Imagine the knockout power this dude has
is it just me that saw the radar gun at 105 not 106?
106? Thats 5mph short of category 3 hurricane wind speeds.
When you get the standing O while down by 8 runs in the 9th.
In the words of Poofesure:
CAN WE DRUG TEST THIS MAN?!
Impressive, but what's the point when your team is being lit up 9-1
He’s overrated
Aroldis Chapman was out for a hike, along came a mountain lion, he then looked down and a perfectly round baseball sized rock appeared…
Not just 106, but 105 on the gun. Crazy stuff
My fastball is 82
Welcome to Pittsburgh!!
Why is he pitching when they're down 8 runs? Trying to keep it close? lol
I wonder can he throw a football🤔 i would like to see a few mlb pitchers throw a football
staying ahead of the count
CUBAN POWAAAA babyyyyy🇨🇺
100mph vs making a shot
MLB too slow ❤
Imagine him throwing 7 innings… 🙄
크보에서 저렇게 1이닝만 던져주는 투수 있어도 40세이브는 보장될듯.. 아 꼴찌팀 빼고
That's what you call a POWER pitcher !
105 not 106
Pero en la pantalla dice 105mph y en el título del video dice 106mph???
Bring in your best closer down 8 is stupid 😂
9 years later he's 36 and still throwing 101. Now for the pirates. Incredible
Things have come full circle now that Chapman is a Pirate 🤠
Mere 102 is crazy
