Kodai Senga pitched an eight-inning gem against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday but the Mets offense was quiet until Francisco Alvarez belted a game-tying home run in the bottom of the ninth. Mark Canha followed up with an RBI triple, leading New York to a 2-1 come-from-behind victory.

Alvarez is SPECIAL
July is Amazin
When he hit that homer I screamed my lungs out and woke my family up 😅
I hope this turns the tides and this team plays to their potential from now on. LGM
In 106 degree heat too
So back.
Alvarez is going to be the next Mike Piazza
So CLUTCH !!!
Alvarez looking like the veteran LEADER they desperately need.
Senga, Scherzer & Verlander have been pretty good last few outings hopefully each can put together 8-12 high quality starts going forward along with clutch hitting then just maybe 🤔 the rotten 1st half will be totally forgotten.
Was at the game yesterday and Senga was supposed to pitch; looks like they made the right call by giving him another day off! Lots of Mets fans at the Dbacks yesterday…LETS GO METS! The season ain’t over!!
Alvarez is an absolute stud!!! He has that clutch gene in him.
Go Mets!! Keep up the good work, Senga.
What a year boys and girls that win was wild!!!
Senga Alvarez Canha baty
Let's do it for one another and never give up.Let go Mets 🤗. # This feels good 😃.
It’s turning around
Alvarez is 'dah Man!
Wow Segas on the team now
WELL, PETE IS "LOST IN SPACE" LIKE THE MID SIXTIES SCI FI SERIES, WHEN IT COMES TO HIS HITTING.
Mets wanna win now when they have fallen to far behind in the standings… Where were the winning streaks earlier in the season
I can see the Mets catching the marlins ,but the Braves maybe out of reach.
I'll believe their winners when they win 10 of the next 15, but right now Alvarez and Senga are good enough reasons to tune in and watch! Fran's so clutch with the homers in the 9th! Absolute BEAST!
Keith’s “ohhh”s are really starting to get out of control. Wish one of the producers would let him know.

Alvarez is a lock for All Rookie Team🫡
Signs of 2022. This is how they should have been playing all year
El Troll!!!!
Ghost was spooky today ( ゚д゚)
Kick save and a beaut
Man, the mets never win easy.
The difference between Alvarez a few weeks into the season and the last 2 months is night and day. His approach at the plate is so much better and his defense has improved so much.
Easily one of their biggest wins of the season and could be a turning point if Mets somehow turn this season around.
McNeil, Alonzo and Alvarez are doing these lazy swings that are half cocked and not fully committing…it's leading to pop ups and easy outs
Wow 9th inning gave me goosebumps! Way to go, New York Mets.🧡💙⚾️ Great pitching and defense too.
Alvarez would be a 2023 all-star starter if only he been brought up when he should have been brought up which was last June 2022 after the wheels fell off on their nightmare road trip West to Houston, SF, LA and SD when they played sub .500 ball. Kid would have had 300+ at bats and he would have exercised all the growing pains that he's experiencing now. It was also the time for Baty Mauricio and Vientos. Season could not have ended any worse if they had.
If Alonso would concentrate on just placing the ball in play, he probably would do better. Nimmo has become a strike out legend at that number one spot. And I believe if you placed Lindor at the bottom of the lineup, it would take some pressure off and make him more productive.
Let’s go Mets baby
4 in. A. Row
Mets going on a run , NL Beast is Alive n well , Represent ur Division. , Go Phil's,
I could watch this on repeat all day. Hope they can keep this streak going for as long as they can.
That was an Awesome win !! Please no let down game tonight !!
Love Gary…oh wow ❤
Senga pitched a masterful game!
Alverez is a rookie. He needs to be humbled more often. That was a disgusting over the top display. Did the icinic yankee Derek Sanderson Jeter a/k /a the Captain ever do that? Gibson and Drysdale would have drilled that dumb rook in the back next AB with a 95 mph fastball then stared his sorry az down. The good old days.
Sweep You Later D-acks.
