Later, Oneil Cruz broke the game open with a towering 422-foot home run that struck the top of the foul pole. Backed by a strong offensive performance, Pittsburgh secured the win and evened the series in Texas.

    With Jones back and Chandler having a breakout season, they'll have the strongest starting rotation.
    The Pirates will make the playoffs this year.

  3. I left the room to check on my dinner that was in the oven when Cruz came up to bat so I missed him going yard. My gosh, that ball went a loooong way! Well done buccos. Now to do it again Thursday night before the trip to dreaded MKE.
