Manager Schneider will never learn that Hoffman is no closer. The 9th inning in the 7th game of the World Series last year proved that.

Hoffman was terrible, he couldn’t get the ball over the plate majority of the time. It’s the Jays pitching that kills the team, guess the same can be said for their batting if nobody is hitting but their main focus is their pitching. Glad the jays won but they are on a losing skid and need to get out of it, I don’t think they’ve won a series yet. Injuries are affecting the team and I don’t think the Jays were like this last season. Hopefully the jays can get back on top once all the injured players return.
I didn't want to see it at first, I thought people were just mad about the homerun from last year (Despite an overall 1.46 playoff ERA) and that Hoffman would turn the slow start around, but at this point even I have to see that something is up, he's just not performing.
Almost give away a momentum changing spot. If we lose a game like this, it can spiral down. Definitely need to start evaluating the closer situation.

Anyone else notice we’re going away from the winning recipe of playing small ball and falling into the swing for the fences mentality again? More home runs, less wins. More huge chops by Sal Frelick followed by more walks back to the dugout. Get back to the fundamentals guys!!!
Way too many people mad at Hoff and not nearly enough people mad at Schneider. "What's good for tomorrow trumps what's needed today," isn't working. If we are winning a game, WIN it. Stop worrying about tomorrow….this ain't the playoffs.
John Schneider is a major problem for the jays. Hoffman cannot be allowed to continue to "close" games. No accountability and that's all on the manager.
