I can never get over the duality of Faputa. There's this innocent, cute and fluffy side, then there's the vengeful, rage-fueled savage murder beast we see her as later on. It's pretty cute though how she spends most of her time as Reg's hat.
The amount of emotional whiplash this show gives is ridiculous. One second cute. Next Trauma! Then back to cute! Then Innuendos! Then back to trauma! Then back to cute! WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO FEEL!?
This is genuinely cute. But when there’s characters as adorable and lovable like these I’m certain there’s gonna be some kind of heartbreak in the show that involves the characters you liked.
I love the contrast between the cute, fluffy innocence and brutal, blood seeking killing machine. And I especially like how the writer didn't try to act as if this vengeful side of hers was somehow wrong. As a matter of fact, her vengeance was completely justified and even necessary. Their deaths should have occurred way sooner and her going on a massive killing spree simply corrected the unholy prolonging of their lives. In the end, everyone accepted it, including those who were killed, as long awaited justice and the rebalancing of something that should never have occurred in the first place. It's kinda painful to see how Reg forgot about his promise of lifelong commitment towards her and it's visibly taking a tax on her emotional state, but I'm happy she didn't remind him of this promise. I mean, would you? Either he remembers the promise himself or he'll fall in love with her all over again. And if neither of those things happen, it's simply not meant to be.
Overall, I think her character is really well-written in a very realistic manner. But I could say that about most characters in this story. The way things like friendship, romance and sexuality are portrayed is really well done. Not many stories get it right like that.
