The Eminence in Shadow (Kage no Jitsuryokusha ni Naritakute!) is a Japanese light novel series written by Daisuke Aizawa and illustrated by TōzaI.

Synopsis:-
Great heroes and diabolical villains are the types of characters that people long to be—but not Cid Kagenou. He longs to become the true mastermind behind it all, pulling the strings, and having his machinations drive the entire story. In his previous life in modern-day Japan, he was not able to achieve his goals. But now, reborn into a world of magic, he will show the true eminence of shadow!
As Cid pretends to be just another average mob character, he recruits members to his (fake) organization Shadow Garden, aiming to take down the mysterious cult who lurks in the shadows. With plenty of ad-libs, Cid leads his (fake) organization against the foul (yet surprisingly real) Diabolos Cult.

なんだろう・・・漫画とかあー言ったやつの半数が隠しサイコを感じてたのにアニメだと全然雰囲気違うな
From the manga
The plot is quite typical
But the MC has alpha mentality
Stay in the shadows hunt in the shadows
I read the manga thrice since it's rare to see a chuunibyou shadow lord aka mob wannabe isekaied and lol the way he died, I'm praying they add that backstory part well, the humour and action scenes felt well-balanced and can't wait to see if the MC realises later about…the coincidences (just a hint) as he goes about in his 2nd life. It has Harem, but for now, MC hasn't fallen particularly for any girl and focuses more on his 'growth' (act). I expect that from the anime as well.
