The story starts with Yoshio Shagaru waking up and getting ready for his office, stating that everyone acknowledges that he is an ugly bastard. However, he states that he has worn this ugly mug of his with pride and he has worked hard in sales with his ugliness to make customers smile. Naturally, he doesn’t have much RZ because of his ugly face. But he still thinks that he has lived a fulfilling life until that fateful day. One day, while riding a train, a woman accused him of touching her, even though he explained that he couldn’t have done it because both of his hands were full. However, no one believed the ugly mug of his and they kicked him off the train as he was even carrying several adult games. He was brought to court for this and he pleaded guilty because he didn’t want a long trial and in return he was ordered to pay 300,000 as a fine. However, this was a bigger mistake than he realized and he was fired from his company. Several years later, the woman who framed him was arrested and it was revealed that she had framed several men for molesting her because she couldn’t stand stinky breath ugly mugs. because she was a minor, she got off on probation, and he was enraged, but there was nothing he could do. The ugly mug that he was so proud of earlier tormented him now, and the trauma from being falsely accused prevented him from ever having a normal life. People began seeing him as a guy with a ugly face and poor communication skills, and they scorned him. Before he knew it, 6 years had passed, and he became an unemployed shut-in. He used up all of his savings and ate away his parents’ money, and he was lower than livestock. This is when he read about missing people reports and he wished that he could disappear as well. He then reads a comment on the post which mentions stuff about being teleported to another world. The guy mentions that he messed up allocating his bonus points the wrong way and he asks them to be careful telling them the way to go to another world. Shigiru thinks that it’s probably fake, but having nothing better to do with his life, he follows the instructions, turning his laptop to face north, opening the window of his room and raising his hands. Just then it happens and a notification pops up on his laptop asking him if he wants to go back to another world specifying that returning is going to cost him half of his life. He wonders if it’s a virus thinking that he can format it later if this is the case. He proceeds ahead and he finds out that he is getting the chance to start over from 16 years of age. Still taking this as nothing but a joke. He notices that he has average looks but he edits his look stats putting it to minus 255 just for fun. On the next screen, he notices that he has 13,000 bonus points which he can allocate to different stats. He wonders if he got more bonus points for reducing his looks, and he notices that he can write special notes on the screen. He thinks that it must be there to write something positive, but he writes weaknesses in it instead, and he gets more bonus points. He writes that all of his earnings will be reduced to 1 10,000th. He will lose 10% HP every time he touches a girl, and he will be dismembered and die if he has sex. He also writes a positive thing which is that his experience gain will be 10,000 times the normal value. This gives him 100 trillion 5,100 bonus points and he wonders how he should distribute them. However, time runs out before he can do this. The scene cuts to him waking up in an unfamiliar house, wondering if last night was a dream, but he notices himself in the mirror, finding out that his looks have gotten even worse. He realizes that this is what negative -255 look is like and he meets three other people in the house wondering who they are and why they are in their undergarments. One of the girls sneezes with cold and si the other guy gives his shirt to her. Shagaru tries to do the same with the other girl psycha but she refuses to take his shirt. He is not surprised that people discriminate based on looks even in another world and they all introduce themselves but the blond-haired girl refuses to reveal her name. Si then asks them if they also found that post online and he finds out that they did. He realizes that they are really in another world right now and he wasn’t expecting to be half naked. They all talk but Chagaru isn’t interested in making friends and he checks the drawers finding a coin inside but as soon as he touches it it disappears. He realizes that it’s because his earnings are reduced to 1 10,000th and fractions are also rounded down in this world. They ask him if he found something but he states that it’s nothing. Afterwards, they all look around the house, finding some supplies, and Sagei states that they can distribute everything equally. They all wear the new clothes available to them, and Si notices that they can split items and weapons four ways, but there are only seven coins. They wonder if someone pocketed one, and Si clearly suspects Shagaru for this, so Shagaru states that he doesn’t really need money, and they can split it evenly. Si is not sure about this, but Psycha has no problem doing this, stating that they were the ones who found the coins anyways. Chageru explains that he did find the coins, but he ignored them because they would just disappear if he touched them. She is sure that he was too distracted by naked girls to see anything else and Chagaru asks them to give him the axe in return for the coins. Si asks him to not grandstand or he is going to fail again and Chagaru has no idea what he means. He explains that he was just talking about himself stating that he has trouble communicating with others and he also acts selfishly. Chagaru doesn’t think that he has any such problem and Si mentions that he is hoping to overcome these problems in this life. He couldn’t overlook the same behavior in Chagaru and he is sure that Shagaru suffers from communication issues as well stating that they should overcome it together. They then use rock paper scissors to decide who is going to get which weapon and Chagaru ends up with the staff. Si tells them that they should shake hands to rally themselves but Chagaru refuses to do this thinking that he doesn’t want to get hurt by the girls. He thinks that he might not have looks in this world, but he is sure that he has out of this world stats. They then check out the map they got and Si mentions that they should head to the town of Irea, mentioning that it’s the closest to this place. Shagaru thinks that he is going to give them the slip on the way and they open the gates to venture out, but they notice a monster outside and Si quickly takes action, killing the monster. They can see that there are more monsters heading towards them and Si asks everyone with melee weapons to come with him and he tells Psycha to string her bow in the meantime ordering Chagaru to stay and support her. Si and the blonde girl fight the monsters taking them out one after the other and Psycha is unable to string her bow in the meantime. Chagaru realizes that she has no experience with a bow and a monster attacks him. Si apologizes for letting one of them get away and Chagaru thinks that he should have told him sooner. He thinks that he can now show his real powers. And he attacks the monster, but his attack does nothing to it, and he wonders if his second life is not going to be any different. The monster hurts him, and he recalls that he ran out of time before he could allocate his bonus points. He keeps fighting the monster, and he manages to kill it. This makes him level up 31 times at once, and he realizes that it’s because his experience points are multiplied by 10,000. Si and the blonde girl also gain a level and they decide to put the points they gained into strength and stamina. Chagaru also allocates his points and he puts a trillion points in each of his stats. This makes his status screen shine and he gets the class of almighty god, perhaps the ugliest god of all time. Just then, a monster attacks him, but it doesn’t even make him flinch and he defeats it with a flick of his finger. The others don’t notice this, continuing to fight like normal, but Sika is still unable to tie her bow string. Chagaran can’t bear to watch this, so he offers to help, asking her to let him tie her bow string for her, pretending to have a bow string syndrome. She allows him to do it, and he recalls that he saw a video about this online, and he manages to do it in a second. She asks him if he was in the archery club, and she allows him to take a shot to thank him. He doesn’t want to do it, but he agrees to when she insists, and he decides to use this to test his new skills. He fires the arrow, but it misses its mark, flying straight into the sky, and it evokes a spell, summoning a dragon made of lightning, which kills all the monsters in the immediate vicinity. Psycho wonders what that was, and he states that it’s just because he was in the archery club, and she believes him. She takes the bow from him, stating that she will handle the rest. And as more monsters approach them, Si asks her to give them cover. She fires the arrows like a crazy woman, but none of them hit their mark and Si and the blonde girl realize that they will have to handle this themselves. Psycha then runs out of arrows and she thinks that she is useless. Chigelu helps her out, creating arrows using one of his skills and secretly putting them beside her, telling her that there are some items on the ground. She is happy to see them and she starts firing like a mad man once more, hitting no one. He realizes that his help was pointless and Si and the blonde girl wipe out all the monsters. They think that they can finally head to the town now and Shagaru decides to head to the town with them. The scene then cuts to them entering the town of Irea and they are starving. They roam around the town finding a hamburger shop and they head in to eat. Chagaru thinks that they are not bad people but he decides to leave them and he goes his separate way. Later we see him sitting by a fountain and he thinks that he is feeling hungry. He comes across a cat wanting to touch it, but he refrains thinking that he will take 10% damage if it’s a female. Just then, Psycha comes there startling him and he falls into the fountain. Afterwards, he gets out and she apologizes for this. She shows him that she has brought a hamburger for him as thanks for stringing her bow earlier. He thinks that she is more conscientious than she looks and he decides to accept her kindness, but he accidentally touches her while taking the burger and this gives him 10% damage. The pain is so excruciating that the burger falls from his hand and he finds out that he just received 58 trillion damage. He thinks that this would be enough to kill the population of 300 Earths and he wonders if she is some goddess of destruction. Psycha states that he is really cruel, telling him that she went out of her way to buy that for him and he mentions that it wasn’t on purpose, deciding to show her the sincerity which once made him the top salesman. He tells her that she is just so beautiful that it made his hands shake and he offers to eat the fallen hamburger. She doesn’t want him to eat something so dirty, giving her the other burger she bought, telling him that it was her fault for being too pretty. He doesn’t want to take it since it’s her food, and she doesn’t mind, stating that she is rich enough to buy more for herself, but he is broke right now. She also mentions that she knows that on top of stringing her bow, he also found arrows and secretly gave them to her. He is surprised that she noticed, and he takes the burger, eating it. He thinks that he owes her now, and he decides to stay with her and the others until he can pay her back. Just then, Si and the blonde girl come there and they leave with the two of them.
