Cook Gets Kicked Out of the Strongest Party and Starts His Own Restaurant

The story starts with the strongest party, Silver Wing, fighting a dragon, and it attacks them with its tail, but they dodge. They attack it, but their attacks have little effect on it, and the dragon attacks with its breath, but the mage in the party defends using a barrier. She is not able to block the attack completely, and Dennis, the cook of the party, protects her. He uses one of his skills to create a recovery potion, pouring it over her wound. And Katie is impressed by his caring side. But the party leader, VGO, doesn’t like this. He attacks the dragon injuring its eye and the dragon goes berserk attacking everyone. They manage to survive the attack and VGO tells everyone to not falter as they are the strongest party in the world. The scene then cuts to the silver wing having a meeting and we notice that all of its members have gathered at the table except for Katie the vice captain. Out of everyone in the table, VGO has the highest level of 99 which is the same as Dennis. VGO then begins the meeting telling Dennis that the failure of the recent quest lies solely with him and if he hadn’t used his dread voice, the cave dragon wouldn’t have run and they would have defeated it. Dennis reminds him that he is the one who told him to use it. But Vgo refuses to accept this claim and Dennis explains that the goal of this quest was to defeat the cave dragon and retrieve its rare parts, but the dragon suddenly entered a frenzied state. So pressing forward became impossible. Most of their party mates were also injured and seeing no way to win, VGO ordered Dennis to use Dread Voice. Using the intimidation skill, Dread Voice sent the easily startled cave dragon running and the quest ended in failure. If they continued to push on, there would have been casualties. And VGO’s uncharacteristically good decision surprised him at the time, but now he knows what he was playing at. VGO states that he would never give an order like that and he mentions that Dennis might have been sent to their party to tarnish their reputation and he might actually be a spy from another party. He kicks him out of the party and no one speaks against this decision as VGO is the strongest out of them and they can’t go against him. VGO then tells Dennis that he was never worthy of being in their party as he is just a cook and Dennis wonders if there is anything wrong with being a cook. He powers up and so does VGO and the pressure coming from the both of them frightens everyone. VGO mentions that the Silverwing Battalion is meant for highly skilled swordsmen, priests, magicians, and heavy swordsmen. These are the only right sort of jobs, and him being here is nothing but a mistake. They may both have a level of 99, but a lowly cook has no place here. Dennis thinks that he has no reason to stay if this is how he feels, and he tells them to do what they want, stating that they are not his problem anymore, and he walks out of the room. The scene cuts to him in the city, and he thinks that he will have to bid farewell to the capital as well. Just then, a girl bumps into him, letting go of her balloon, and she cries at her loss. Dennis quickly catches the balloon for her, and she thanks him. He tells her that she shouldn’t let it go if it’s important to her, and she leaves, thanking him for it. Dennis then takes his own advice, recalling what’s important to him, and he turns to leave. Meanwhile, Vgo watches him leave from afar, and he decides to begin his plan for real. Just as Dennis crosses the gates of the city, Katie stops him, but he begins to walk again, and she asks him why he is getting kicked out. She walks behind him, stating that if he leaves, then all the things he handled, like making medicines, performing alchemy, and cooking food, will be left undone. Dennis is sure that someone else is going to take over for him, and she can just find somewhere to eat if she is worried about food. She doesn’t want to do this, explaining that after he joined the party, their ability to travel in dungeons increased and now people are calling them the strongest party in the world. The rest of the party is not aware that he is supporting their rear guard and she is sure that kicking him out is going to be a disaster. She tells him that he can still come back and he is grateful that she would say all that, but he asks her to just let him go. She hopes that he would at least cook dinner before he leaves and cook a few lunches for them as well. He can’t believe that this is what she is ending things with and she gets serious asking him if he is really not coming back. He says nothing and she wonders what he is going to do. He states that he is going to cook as that’s his job and he reveals that he is planning on starting a restaurant. Katie refuses to let him leave stating that she was the one who found him and he belongs to her. He is grateful that she invited him to join the silver wing and he thinks that him and Katie got along really well and Vgo is interested in her so he probably didn’t like that. He leaves apologizing to her and she orders him to come back using her authority as the vice captain, but he doesn’t even flinch, thinking that his life as an adventurer is over. However, his life as a cook has just begun. The scene then cuts to him in another city and he checks out a few shops to buy things to get his restaurant up and running. He finds a freezer in one of the shops and he thinks that it’s incredible since it can cool anything without ice. The shopkeeper tells him that it’s an ice box and it’s essential for any restaurant. He decides to buy one in excitement, but he recalls that according to the how to open a restaurant manual, he is not supposed to make unnecessary purchases and he has to keep the investment as low as possible. He decides to not buy the ice box in this case as he can use ice magic. The scene cuts to him in town and he thinks that he was getting a little too excited. He decides to focus reading the manual on how to open a restaurant and he follows the steps written in it. buying an abandoned property, communicating with the distributors on procuring raw materials and buying utensils. After he finishes doing all this, he thinks that this is really fun and he notices that the next tip is to not do everything by himself and hire the necessary help. He decides to hire a server and just then he notices a crowd gathered around. He wonders what’s going on and he takes a closer look, finding out that a sal trader is selling a slave. He mentions that this girl was once the daughter of a noble family, but her parents were defeated in a power struggle and she was exiled. She drifted here and there and she ended up in this place. The onlookers find it hard to believe that she is really the daughter of a noble as she doesn’t look refined at all. But they do think that she is cute and she will grow up to be quite beautiful. Dennis wishes that he could do something for her. But he thinks that he can’t save everyone. If he got angry at all the injustice in this world, he would never survive. And just then he looks at the dead eyes of the girl. This reminds him of the look in his own eyes when he was around her age. And the slave trader asks them to make their bids. The bids start at 300,000 and it soon goes as high as 800,000. But Dennis raises it up to a million and he almost gets the girl, but the shopkeeper from earlier intervenes, bidding 1.5 million. He mentions that she is quite cute, so he is going to take her home and take good care of her. Dennis notices that this guy is the very image of a pervert, but he doesn’t like judging him by his looks, thinking that he could be a decent person as there is no proof that he is a pervert. However, the crowd is surprised that PvO has made a bid, revealing that he is a real pervert and the girl will be miserable if he buys her. Dennis thinks that he can’t let him buy her at any cost, and he raises his bid. In the end, the bid goes way beyond 5 million, and the scene cuts to Dennis and the girl at his newly bought restaurant. He is upset that he ended up spending almost all of his money in buying this girl and he doesn’t like how she is looking right now. So, he buys some clothes for her and tidies her up. Afterwards, we see the two of them walking home and the girl is walking pretty far away from him. He warns her that she is going to get lost if she doesn’t walk closer to him. And just moments later, she really does get lost. She can’t find Dennis anywhere and she is overwhelmed by the crowd around her. She doesn’t know what to do and she feels lost and alone. Just then, Dennis shows up behind her. not surprised that she really got lost. And the scene cuts to them at the restaurant again. The girl asks him why he bought her and he mentions that there was no real reason. He just remembered something from long ago. He asks her name and she tells him to just call her slave, but he wonders if she doesn’t have a real name. She asks him to call her Italier in this case and he introduces himself as Dennis. She then wonders what she should do and he tells her that she doesn’t have to do anything. She can use the upper floor as she wants or if she doesn’t want to live here, she can just leave. He states that she is free and she doesn’t know how to feel about this. But right then, her stomach growls. Afterwards, we see Dennis preparing something for the both of them, and we notice him breaking some eggs and chopping up meat. He fries them with rice, showing off his level 99 cooking skills, and he makes fried rice with meat and eggs. The girl is mesmerized by the smell of the food, and he finishes up with the cooking. They both then eat it and the girl really enjoys it. It brings back the shimmer in her eyes and she scarfs down the food like she has been hungry for ages. She starts crying and he thinks that he doesn’t know what she has been through and he is not going to ask her about it unless she wants to tell him herself. She still keeps eating the food like there is no tomorrow and she starts choking on it. So he gives her some water. Over the next few days, both Attelier and Dennis work to get their restaurant in working condition and she gets more comfortable with being around him. After a while, they are finished preparing everything and they make a heartfelt fist bump to it. Dennis names the restaurant as the adventurer’s restaurant and they open it for the public. Afterwards, he tells Attelier that she is going to be their poster girl, stating that he will be counting on her and she practices her skills before any customers come in. Meanwhile, Dennis notices that he has everything prepared and he is ready for anything that a customer can throw at them. He states that he is going to make everyone obsessed with his cooking and they are going to get so addicted that they will eat all three meals at his place. He hopes that they will pay him lots for it as he has no money left right now. And just then their first customer entered the shop.
