異彩を放つヒーローたちが喝采を浴びる世界。
ここでは、「信頼」がスーパーヒーローを生み出す。

人々が「彼は空を飛べる」と信じれば、その男は飛行する能力を手に入れる。
逆に特殊な力を持つヒーローでも、信頼を失えば能力もまた失われる。

信頼はデータとして集計され、その数値によってヒーローのランキングが変動する。
2年に一度、トップランクのヒーローたちが集い繰り広げるヒーロートーナメント。
そこでのパフォーマンスによって「信頼値」が更新され、ランキングは再構築される。

ランキングの頂点に立つ絶対的なヒーロー、人はそれを「X」と呼ぶ――

    A part of me feels that in the end before he died the OG E-Soul actually accepted Yang Chen as the new E-Soul but also probably warned him of how he's being manipulated.

    New Nice and New E-Soul and opposites. Nice stayed true to his reason for being a hero and his love for Moon. E-soul lost his reason and also left his love and his promise.

    Yang Cheng : Tragic and Sad

    ヤンチョンは良くも悪くもとても人間らしかった。信頼値が0だった彼にとって信頼値はそう簡単に捨てられるものではなかったし、友を一度は見捨てたことでより一層自分自身への信頼は揺らいでいた。
    彼は悪い人になったとは思う。だが、憎むことはできない。いつの日か彼が彼自身を愛するために戦うことができる日がくることを願っている。

    Saddest episode yet, yang killed the guy that saved him because his uncle set him up, all he wanted to do was save people.

    Yang Cheng's ark simply solidifed what I really liked over To Be Hero X.

    Li Ling was forced to be an impostor, but he broke free from corporate control, removing his mask of Nice and became himself. Yang though, faced what is the common of this world, manipulated from start to finish until he became a different person.

    Additionally Yang simply felt so human, his correct decisions and his mistakes, his entire characterization. Shang Chao died because Yang hesitated for a second, so he promised to never hesitate again and ran straight into killing E-Soul.
