  2. Seeing the character outlines in the beginning get turned to black nothingness, enforcing history will indeed forget them is both extremely beautiful and extremely sad. I also love how the orb appears in Albert's hand only after Rafal closes his, something only noticeable with a direct comparison video like this. Incredible incredible incredible.

Brilliant show, brilliant OP. I'm glad I got to watch this as it came out

  4. The black empty screens hurt… I teared up a bit this time, seeing they disappeared, as was told by the previous episode they would be forgotten.

  9. You know that Mothersbasement guy should do OP analysis again, because this right here has much stuff in it while showing so little.

I am largely pretty unemotional, and maybe it's just the astronomy nerd in me, but this is actually moving me somehow.

  10. The events from episode 23's epilogue onwards, including episode 24, occur in a different timeline than episodes 1-23.

A comparison of the timelines reveals discrepancies.

For instance, episode 1 mentions 'the early 15th century, in a certain kingdom of P' (00:44), whereas
episode 23's epilogue states '1468, Urban District of the Polish Kingdom' (20:45).

Furthermore, Rafael's physical appearance differs between episodes 1 and 24. In episode 24, Rafael mentions being taken in by a 'scholar', whereas in episode 1, it is revealed that he was taken in by a 'priest'. This discrepancy hints at a pivotal difference between the two timelines.

In the original timeline, Rafael's father, a scholar, was forced to abandon his research on heliocentrism due to the bishop's prohibition. However, in this alternate timeline, the bishop did not prohibit heliocentrism, allowing Rafael's father to continue his work as a scholar. Consequently, Rafael's fate is altered, and he does not die. Additionally, Novak is not tasked with executing the sentence."

  12. 0:01 And just like Antoni said, NONE of them would have their names be remembered by history. Let alone others like Count Piast or Schmidt
0:37 I love that Nowak is in this part of the FINAL PART opening. It calls back to what the Rafal hallucination said of he being a "comrade" to the heliocentrism researchers
0:54 kinda amusing that this is one of the few scenes that were in all versions of the opening
1:15 One of the few parts that stayed the same during all openings (and this one feels more significant)
1:20 It always began with a starry sky
1:23 We are this close to the ending, And I guess this shot will be only understandable once we see final episode
1:25 It felt like "the end of the journey" in the FINAL PART version of the opening
