I dislike Larsen’s opinions on “stuff”, but his 90’s work is top notch and his Spider-man run is way better than Mcfarlane’s. Those interactions with Mary Jane bring to memory that Larsen wanted MJ to get pregnant, which of course got dished by editorial.
One of my first comic storylines. BTW, Solo appeared quite a bit since this story including having a miniseries to himself and Larsen had Solo appear in his Wolverine run. He was supposed to be the newer, edgier Punisher. He was also co-created by Marc Silvestri during his very short run on (I think) Web of Spider-Man.
Another great review. This series was in my heyday of reading Spider-Man. I loved the unique designs and weapons they had him trying out in the Spider-Man series. As a kid I called it the "Spider-Man series with new powers/designs". I was not good at naming things.
11:11 – As a young man I always think of the line "I grabbed a couple of burgers on the way home" as "I grabbed a couple of burglars on the way home." not in the sense that he ate the people, but as if he was bragging or trying to show her he was 'taking it easy' by going after low level thugs.

Love the way Larsen draws Deathlok…such a cool character anyways.
03:58 He was a new character when Erik started reading comics, with no decades of baggage. It's that simple.
