This was the most emotional scene in the whole series for me. Especially when Misaki says “It seems this is goodbye, Malcolm” 💔
This has nothing to do with races. It's about looking carefully at the actions of others.
"People fear what they don't understand" it's was hard decision for Malcolm who had to do what he had to in order to make a different. Hell if it was John or any Genius like Dr. Edwin Mack or Danny Dyson, their would understand and support Malcolm
That something John connor would do if he see a machine in Terminator Salvation, he know that machine cannot be trust if they wearing a human skin and walk around among of them like a spy so ye I wouldn't blame a the resistance
I mean just look at Marcus he are hybrid machines with human feelings but John still not trusting him and tortured until Marcus explained him at Robot fish killer scene and John will understand what he said after saved him so it "Kill first think later" ( those I said it before Terminator salvation event )

I guess Malcom come from a timeline where John Connor didn’t exist because if he does they would never fought from 1997 to 2045 while in original timeline Connor led the resistance to victory in 2029 but not before they send the terminator back in time, however with the machine main facility In Colorado have been destroyed connor reactivated the Time Machine and send Kyle Reese and T 800 to protect him and his mother in the past while in the aftermath the war is over( but the final battle will be in the past.) humanity will rebuild. In fact in almost every timeline humanity always manage to overcome the machine.
He's going to hell that's for sure he killed 7 people for a machine and they had every right not to trust any machine this it kinda outweighs the cause.
God this anime doesn't match with the Terminator Franchise. But is also good compared with the last movies

This Malcolm makes me think of Malcolm from planet of the apes. Most of humanity hate and fear the things that have taken over the earth (machines/apes) while they’re driven towards extinction, forced to hide and survive. Both men want to see the good in them and wish co-existence but their fellow humans refuse to believe such a concept and see them all as evil. While there are evil ones (Skynet/koba) but there are also good ones (Misaki/Caesar).
These men were basically presenting a very common human character flaw. How they get when they’re scared & they don’t understand something
Makes you wonder what connor would’ve done if he was in the show
