The last fight was kinda "goofy ah" i mean all those trains are just punch kick nothing more its just like 2 kid fighting without any knowledge of fighting. Man even the time when he fights the gang its still more cooler and more fun to watch
Bro I was disappointed by the ending of season 2, there was literally no point in having Rouis sacrifice his leg to Lagoshi just to win a fight that’s meant to prove a point. Ideologically, it makes sense to do all of this to prove a point with what’s wrong with the role of carnivores and herbivores, but realistically no it makes no sense, Lagoshi could’ve called the cops, he would still be in school, Rouis would still have his leg, and screw Riz he literally ate his friend and after the whole fight that Lagoshi definitely would’ve lost even after eating Rouis’ leg they’re like, “Eyy that’s cool bro, I see my wrongdoings can we be friends again now?” To lose a leg for the sake of winning an argument when Lagoshi or Rouis could’ve simply called the police, that’s just idiotic.
It still doesn’t make sense how in Beastars you canonically have to be in a state of bloodlust to access the upper extent of your strength. It’s probably my only issue with Beastars is that it humanizes its characters throughout the story, then just reduces them back to animals again when it’s convenient for the story.
It’s like the character development means nothing, and when the characters have to sacrifice their morals to achieve their goals, it’s for an entirely contrived reason that seems to go against the worldbuilding and prior character building.
It’s an allegory about human nature and racism that then says “oh yeah, all that racist stuff you heard? It’s completely RIGHT and you’re justified in thinking it, it’s just that you’ll get weird looks for acknowledging something that is OBJECTIVELY TRUE in lore.”
It’s on a “horrible allegory” level similar to how X-Men does it where the discrimination is legitimized by the VERY REAL AND OBJECTIVELY NEGATIVE effect that the minority group has on society.
