「.hack／／Quantum」「ばからもん」などの橘正紀さんが監督、「コードギアス 反逆のルルーシュ」などの大河内一楼さんがシリーズ構成、脚本を手がけるオリジナルアニメ「プリンセス・プリンシパル」が7月からスタート。
「プリンセス・プリンシパル」は、19世紀末、巨大な壁で東西に分断されたアルビオン王国の首都ロンドンを舞台に、伝統と格式ある名門のクイーンズ・メイフェア校に在籍する5人の少女が女子高校生を隠れみのに、それぞれの能力を生かしスパイ活動を展開する……というストーリー。
今村彩夏さんが芸術的な手腕をもつ天才スパイ・アンジェ、関根明良さんがアルビオン王国のプリンセス、影山灯さんがプリンセスのそばに付き添う貴族の少女・ベアトリス、大地葉さんがアンジェの相棒・ドロシー、古木のぞみさんが留学生の日本人・ちせをそれぞれ演じる。
「キノの旅 -the Beautiful World-」などの黒星紅白さんがキャラクター原案、「魔法少女まどか☆マギカ」などの梶浦由記さんが音楽を手がけ、「天体のメソッド」などのStudio 3Hz、「ガールズ＆パンツァー」などのアクタスが制作する。
