They certainly having an interesting take on animated armor. In DnD, Animated armor are suits of armor that animated with magic.

It's funny, in my DND game I had an NPC who was a dwarf and was also quite fond of cooking monsters. He actually cooked a baby kraken that the party had killed as a reward for them helping him get into town when his wagon broke down. The difference here is that he was a half mad duergar

This show really satisfy my curiosity with any fictional fantasy creatures. That are not just magical/mechanical godly beings.
I can't help but try to find a sort of infos from ingame almanacs or the internet about those creatures. Finding out their habitats, diet, abilities, how they evolve, and what niche they fill the local ecosystem.
