well, if I hadn’t seen the anime, I think I would have been really confused ^.^; they didn’t really explain much of anything and all the plot points felt pretty shallow. If I didn’t already see the story and love it, I don’t think I would have felt much of anything for our protagonists. We didn’t really get to feel all the struggle Miyo went through while living with her ‘family’, or Kiyoka slowly discovering about her past and all the little things he does to make Miyo feel special and important, and even Miyo’s struggle to find her self-worth and confidence was pretty much missing. But I still enjoyed the story and I didn’t mind the little plot points that they did change (even if they didn’t explain like…literally anything XD like how was everyone able to slice the infected without killing them just cause Miyo went into what I can only assume from the anime was the dream world? ) and I did love Kiyoka’s hair, plus I mean, it’s Meguro Ren so…what’s not to like!
Also, eff the Usuba family, they left Miyo alone to be neglected and abused until she started showing powers, yet they have the balls to claim her as theirs. Ya’ll can just BLEEP off XD

There’s so much to tell about this movie, the actors… that i don’t even know where to start… I always considered Japanese as a harsh, almost brutal sounding language. However, MR and IM convinced me of the complete opposite… I was literally bewitched by the delicate gentle graceful sound of their voices.
Both actors are truly genuine artists as they had the ability to seduce me into their world.
Their facial expressions such as gazes, gestures and their body language were a language in themselves that undoubtedly made every kiss completely superfluous.
Miyo‘s gradual transformation into a beautiful smiling young woman was so extremely telling, impressive and absolutely powerful. That’s what love can do! The same goes for Kyoka who gradually became the most beautiful version of himself.
This movie truly blew me away, leaving an indelible impact on me.
This is a sheer masterpiece of a love story, as deep and intense as can be. ❤️
I adored the anime and I thought these two did a great job of bringing Miyo and Kiyoka to life! The movie teased a meaty introduction to a sequel so I've got my fingers crossed! ❤🌸❤
