I say that the depictions of what this astro boy looking fella on the promotional pictures does it a disservice. It looked like it would be some super typical anime with some all powerful little kid who would probably say something about friendship. I was super happy as I was watching to learn that this story was hardly about that boy at all and that there werent even a very clear main character. Basically it kicked ass

Hey, watched this mess, can someone please explain to me why you consider this a masterpiece ? It was beautifully animated and during the first 2 episodes i was curious where it was heading, but the pacing was just so slow and everything was so predictable, and the world's best AI's were complete dumbasses 😀 Gesicht had every piece of evidence literally handed to him on a platter, the dialogue varied from decent to abysmal, i've seen much better interpretations of the philosophical aspects of this show – Detroit: Become Human, Bladerunner, SOMA, Deus Ex series. Im just curious why people think it is a masterpiece, when in reality it is very mediocre.

The philosophy and sci-fi and worldbuilding are all low level and not explored well enough to impress me.
I have no empathy for these robots. They are NOT like humans in the slightest. So what your left with is a show about people whining, with no real action. I probably would've preferred the original astro boy version of this storyline since there's no expectations attached to it.

It was an amazing masterpiece to watch. The details of animation, the storytelling, the art. This is a 12/10 Anime Movie, deserves to be into the Top 3 Ever, maybe the best Anime ever produced.
