Also a critique about Shun: I think he should be more of an active protagonist instead of reactive cuz that’d make him so much more interesting. So far I find most of the other members in his team more interesting (eg: Katia and Fei). But then again, I feel like that might be on purpose so we like spider more.
I desperately wanted to see Shun dead at some point as his character annoyed me way too much throughout the light novel. Besides i preferred Julius as hero character over Shun but Shun had protection from the author. I think at some point Julius started believing that Nightmare wasn't bad but his death was pretty tragic too as he didn't even got a chance to talk and White just straight up killed him. If Julius hadn't died then Shun would have been some bottom tier character just like the rest of the reincarnations except the kumoko' group.
What most annoyed me about Shun' character was that he wanted to follow in Julius' footsteps and become a strong hero but he completely ignored the fact that what being a hero actually means, he simply decided who is bad and good in his mind without thinking anything about the reasons or other factors and took actions as he saw fit.
Here for example instead of asking his friend for the reason for his actions he just straight up tried to kill him. Brainless and dense characters like him annoy viewers/readers.
Julius on the other hand was a strong character and definitely a hero type figure. He had guts since his childhood when he confronted Nightmare and the Demon Lord alone.
Julius had sharp mind too as he at some point started thinking that nightmare wasn't bad because of the things he saw during his journey, like people praying to her, her helping people and her only taking fruits from people as offering. He really wanted to meet nightmare once more to clear his mind.

I really like the anime but the only problem I would say is when it went from awesome monster fights to human fights that look like a trash first person fight it was very sad. Not disappointed in the story though
