【#Uonuma, Niigata】Starting from 2000, the city of Tokamachi and town of Tsunan in Niigata have been hosting the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial, one of the world’s largest international art festivals. Pictured is a work entitled The Rice Field by Ilya and Emilia Kabakov that can be accessed directly from Matsudai Station on the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line. It’s a rare experience to get to be sandwiched so tightly between nature and art.
