  1. For those who didn't watch the full match, the highlights can't tell the full story. It wasn't a mental toughness issue for Osaka, Muchova just outplayed her in sets 1 and 3. As the commentators for the match explained, Osaka's game is very powerful but one-dimensional. Muchova, on the other hand, cannot outhit her, but has all the variety and can make tactical adjustments to outsmart her, so she used them to great effect from being 1-4 down in the first set to winning it 7-5. Then, for whatever reason, Muchova gifted Osaka the second set – it looked like maybe Karolina was low on nutrition and/or electrolytes – too many unforced errors, poor service games, low concentration, and she genuinely looked like she was in pain. After falling behind at the start of the third set (again!), Karolina raised her level (again!) and was ahead 5-4, had multiple match points, but Naomi managed to take it to the match tiebreak. It's not Muchova's first time taking the scenic route but you have to admire Karolina's skills, the shot-making, the adjustments, the sheer mental toughness to manage frustration and persevere against such a tough rival. 😍 ..

  2. Good match. When people who have good tennis play you enjoy it. No unnecessary screams and grunts here and there

  3. Still can't understand why Osaka can't play chip shots to win points. She really needs it to move up against tough opponents.

  4. I think Muchova needs to watch out for her last spot of WTA Finals 2026 as long as Swiatek still survives. Otherwise her effort will end up in pain

  5. Osaka with less confidence, still a formidable opponent. Karolina have stylish game with some power, but Naomi have the double barrel. This the 2nd in a row for Muchova in this mathcup? Think it is.

  6. KARO, MY GIRL! YOU MADE IT TO THE QRTRFINALS! SUPER CHARMING, AAAH! CONGRATULATIONS! ROOTING FOR YA 😎 MUCH LOVE FROM A FILIPINO FAN 🫶🏻

  7. Fun fact: as of 6 October, Muchova has 6 wins and 5 losses to Top 10 opponents in 2026 (ranking prior to the match), Osaka has 1 win and 8 losses to Top 10 opponents in 2026. Muchova also has 7 wins in 2026 against multiple GS Champions and 6 losses; Osaka has 1 win in 2026 against a GS Champion (Sabalenka, Wimbledon) to 6 losses.

  8. Muchova!! Her game is lovely. Attacking, defense , slicing, going to the net and win the points, smart gaming and thinking…Congrats!

  9. She had 9 match points? I had no clue from the highlights. She won the first match point they showed. Why not show more of them?

  10. "Little Dragon seeks its path and whips its Tail" – Bruce Lee. Despite the odds Muchova finds the path and executes under pressure! Congratulations Muchova

  11. Sigh, I just want Naomi to be in the top 10. Sadly my girl will not win another slam. Having her daughter destroyed her career. At least
    she has 4 slams.

  12. Very disappointing performance by Osaka. She had this match won after the 2nd set…she breezed through the second set and was breezing through the 3rd set and then took her foot off the gas and allowed Muchova to get comfortable. Osaka is too layed back…she gives layed back surfer vibes…she doesn't play with a sense of urgency. Up 3-0 in the 3rd set…she got comfortable and took her foot off the gas. I can't stand when players are up big and they start playing like they have room for error. When Osaka fell behind, she started playing with a sense of urgency and got it to 6-6…for the tiebreak…had she played with that sense of urgency when she was up 3-0, she would have won this match EASILY. She needs to lose the layed back surfer mentality…it's not helping her on the court. She needs to play every point like she is behind trying to get back in the match…even if she is up big. She only plays hard when she falls behind and doesn't want to be embarrassed with the loss. From a purely tennis SKILL point of view, Osaka has a great SERVE…but, the opposite of that for her is very weak, and that is her RETURN OF SERVE. Having a great serve will help you win the game when you are on serve, but, having a great return of serve, will help you break the opponent on serve. Her return of serve is AVERAGE at best…her serve game is ELITE…I would give her serve a 92%, but her return of serve a 78%…on the flip side, Muchova's serve is about a 86%…her return of serve is about a 84%…Even though Osaka is a better server, Muchova has a better chance of breaking her opponent than Osaka does…and I think that played a huge role in this match's outcome. Muchova had 18 chances to break Osaka…Osaka had only 10 chances to break Muchova. Even though Osaka saved 14 of those break points…to have an opponent constantly challenging you like that, is going to wear you down to some degree and it's going to shake your confidence. Osaka's game when she is not on serve is AVERAGE at best and needs a lot of work.

  13. Муха ,ну ты и даёшь,перед этим эйсами закидала ,а тут и без эйсов 😂

  14. Great interview by Muchova, an amazing player who at least aknowledges that the match was very tight. Because to anyone saying thzt Osaka was lazy or that her level dropped, she won more games, more points, broke Muchova more and won more on her serve. Naomi played a great match, Muchova was better when it mattered and both were on fire in the tie break…

  15. The Majestic Karolina Muchova! One of my favourite female tennis player that I love watch live!

  16. Women's tennis is now super competitive..to think that she hasn't won a major yet with a sublime game like hers!? She has a superior all round game to Serena
