Sara Bejlek played really well…she had some chances to win that first set…she had set point at 6-5, I thought for sure she would take that first set, but, Osaka put on one of those Coco Gauff rallies and tied things up and went on to win that set. The 2nd set was a little easier for Naomi. I thought Osaka moved the ball really well…she had Bejlek running all over the place and that is what you should always do…make your opponent expend as much energy as possible during the match. Osaka is a very skilled tennis player…she is very good at placing the ball where she wants it to go. If she continues to move the ball well, with her skills, she has to be considered a favorite amongst the players left to win this tournament.
Rarely but this match was on Bejlek's ratcket so to speak — outace and more winners than Naomi. Naomi not 100% physically but she managed her emotion well and played with a consistency not usually seen — and such stable game and match management to win.
Sara is a force to reckon with
