  1. So disappointing, especially since I got led into watching Leylah's previous victory match believing it was this one. I'm devastated.

  2. Osaka has definitely found her rhythm again since becoming a mother, and she is playing some fantastic tennis. The only thing that can still hold her back, as we all know, is the mental side of her game, especially when she falls behind in a match. If she can manage that aspect of her game, there really isn’t a match she can’t win. She is a joy to watch.

Leylah, meanwhile, is still very young, and she is showing us that she is a fierce competitor who can really challenge the best.

  3. I feel bad for Layla since it's her home court but Naomi is good. Sorry Layla 😊. I'm glad She took it seriously and she won and I'm also happy she didn't underestimate her. Congratulation to my girl Noami ❤🎉❤🎉

  4. Naomi's floor this year is even better than her peak days. She doesn't lose to early round. Just need to put wins in slam altogether. She has many slams left

  5. Osaka's pure power and clean ball-striking completely overpowered Fernandez's technique and placement. Based on this match alone, it looked like a professional facing a junior.😮

  6. Very strongly played Naomi. 👏👏👏Congratulations from Türkiye. Many love greetings to Japan ❤️🇹🇷❤️🇯🇵

  7. Fernandez is so OVERRATED. Ever since her 1 LUCKY US OPEN FINAL….she is yet to prove to many that she can EVER get back to the final of a GS.

  8. Era of Power Moms, Svitolina, Bencic and Osaka. Next match is going to be real test for all of them!

  9. Ну где притихли фанаты лейлочки ,андрейку в худшей игре её выиграла и тут же отскочила 😂

  10. I watched Leylah’s press conference. I watched the match on Sportsnet and Tracy Austin and the other announcer were saying the same things, and Leylah even acknowledges she didn’t play key points well and made critical mistakes. I think what I’m saying is the announcers saw it and it’s not rocket science to see what needs to be corrected. One thing I wonder is why she doesn’t hit with more margin over the net? She hit the tape on a lot of shots. I heard that the big 3, Federer, Nadal, and Djokovic, hit about a racquet and a half over the net with top spin. They don’t or didn’t miss a lot. Leylah lost game 7 of both sets, and you could say that was the difference because she lost by a break of serve. Had she held serve it might’ve gone to a tiebreak in both sets and who knows what could’ve happened? Osaka did play well. Leylah was competitive with her, but Osaka was the better player this match.

  11. that's really an impressive performance by naomi. she is not over-cooking her shots and pulling the trigger just the right time and so effective.

  12. And again, a dull, unimaginative player triumphs over a far more skilled one through sheer bruteforcing the balls away. As technology of rackets improve, it will be the doom of female tennis, just like it killed the men's game so long ago.
