  1. so there was a break in set 2 that had putintseva serving for the second set…and y’all just kept it out? the atp recaps are so much better, jeez

  2. This is the Osaka I like. She looked determined, focused, and her hitting was phenomenal in regards to getting the win.

  3. That's why Osaka is former 4 time hard court Grand Slam champion (2 times in Australian Open champion and 2 times US Open champion) and Putintseva isn't. Osaka showed in this match why she won those Majors.

  4. When Osaka is in the flow it is insane. When she dips it's a bit wobbly. I thoroughly enjoy her sportsmanship and the applaus she gives whenever the opponent does something great. The only things I miss at the moment are her insane angles from the baseline. So looking forward to her next match.

  5. Well done by Osaka. Very precise ground strokes and a lot of nice short cross forehands 👌 Taking strides on her way back 👍👏

  6. Tennis can be dangerous sometimes because one bad slip on the ground can cause ankle injuries and so much more.

  7. To whomever compiles and edits these videos: please take a leaf out of TennisTV's book and show not just a compilation of good points but include important ones as well. There is a narrative of a match that fans would like to follow – for example in the second set we went from being on serve to suddenly Putintseva serving for the set – turns out Osaka had lost serve just before but it takes a while for us to realise until we look at the score and work it out, meaning we cannot just concentrate on enjoying watching the video. Even the break back point itself wasn't shown! Other channels even show breaks points saved, which demonstrates the tightness of the match or basically points where the match was won or lost (e.g. a player having multiple break points opportunities but failing to convert them). A lot of your videos would be greatly improved if you provided a context/narrative of the points and match, even if the important points themselves were not great points to watch.
