Akaso Eiji has a very special health condition.
He is allergic to almost all fruits (Peach, apple, grape, kiwi, strawberry, banana, orange, avocado, melon, watermelon, pear, coconut, etc.). This also means all kind of processed fruits such as juice, ice cream, etc.
Beside fruits, Eiji has alot of other allergies (52 of them!), which are house dust, cat and dog dander, certain plants: tree or wooden, seafood: shellfish, nuts: peanut, sesame, almonds, walnuts, even rice, wheat, soybeans, corn, barley, soba noodles, vegetables: carrot, garlic, onion, corn, potatoes, sweet potatoes, bamboo shoots, garlic, carrots, celery, pumpkin, spinach, etc.
Eiji said that his face will go completely white and have breathing difficulties when eating fruits.
In High School, he got some Valentine’s chocolate from a friend that had a sneaky strawberry and he had to go to the hospital.
He loves fruits, especially strawberry but he is also severely allergic to it. He hasn’t eaten it for more than 12 years, he almost forgot the taste.
In 2019, in a tv show, a doctor tried to help him. Eiji underwent a allergy treatment and at the end he could eat 8 pieces of strawberries without any problem.
Allergies can not be cured, but the symptoms can be reduced through medications. This means if the therapy is successful he can tolerate small amounts of these things. However, there is no guarantee that the symptoms will be gone forever. Experts advise to strictly avoid foods that causes symptoms cause the reaction can worsen (or lessen if you’re lucky) over time.
It seems like the treatment (histamine/immunoglobulin therapy) helped Eiji to eat certain things (improved 26 out of 52 allergies), especially his favorite fruit strawberry. His allergies are at different levels (fruits being at the highest level), while rice and wheat for example are at level 2 out of 6, which mean that the symptoms may be a little milder.

Allergies are not a big deal anymore. You find out what you are allergic to then take allergy shots with medication or do a serial IGG injections for a period of time. Guys it's 2021 not 1900. Lol

i literally just finished binge watching Cherry Magic yesterday and was on a journey to find out more about Akaso and Machida. and to find out that Akaso actually went through something like THIS everyday ? this is so sad that he can’t enjoy food like every other people too :’((

I am so sad to hear this. But, I used to have some allergies like his too but not to fruits. They've become less and less as I've grown older especially to house dusk, pollen, cats and dogs. Living in a tropical country is kind of hard to avoid house dusk. So, I've moved to the mountain town, 1500 meters above sea level. No need air condition. I do physical exercise and swim a lot almost everyday. Now, I don't take my medication because it makes me drowsy. I've been fine for years and have many cats. I hope his allergies lessen as he gets older too like mine. 🙏💙🇮🇩

My first born has eczema and has to use special water for him to bathe coz he’s allergic to almost every water. We buy cartons of a particular brand of drinking water that he isn’t allergic to for him to bath. He’s also allergic to some food especially chicken and seafood. Some fishes are ok for him tho. He doesn’t really complain about it but when his itchiness comes out he becomes restless. Myhusband and I always feel so terrible that our son has to go through this. My little girl would cry when she sees his rashes and help put on cream and my son would just laugh at her crying face then later on he would cry to me saying his allergies makes his sister cry that he just wants to hide it not to make her feel sad. When I wasn’t home my husband sent a pic of our son in a crocodile onesie with mask, goggles and kitchen gloves on in my husband’s workshop learning wood craft. 😂 my husband likes making furniture when he has free time and our son is so interested in it but his allergies can’t handle wood dust and stuff. I’d give anything for him to enjoy his life without these allergies. He’s so loving and kind he doesn’t deserve this. I wonder if Akaso’s parents feels the same way. He looks so strong here and reminds me so much of my son.

It was my first time to binge watch a Japanese BL Series last night and I must say I really stan #KuroDachi in Cherry Magic afterwards, then discovered Eiji again in Hey Sensei, Don't you know? Now I'm looking forward to Cherry Magic the Movie on April 8, things are looking great, except for this allergies stuff, it must be quite debilitating on his part, yet it never even shows in his acting, such a professional guy, respect indeed 🙌😍💜❤️👏💙
