Even though it isn't the favorite surface of Naomi Osaka, she has forced the limits and boundaries on the court in order to set off each hardship against her rival. What a sublime and brilliant outcome from the professional Japanese tennis competitor.
Naomi won 67 points vs Greet's 49 points. That is 58% vs 42%. I bet the highlights show around 75% (didn't count just guestimating) of the points won by Greet.
Seriously whoever made this highlight should never cover Osaka anymore if they hate her so much. If I didn't see the scoreboard I would've thought Osaka got bageled or something… Complete disrespect and even more to realize this is done by WTA official channel 🤮🤮🤮

The WTA comes across as a second-rate tour. Can’t even properly highlight the winner of this match. Give us tennis fans our due! Highlights are vital to our connection to the game when we cannot watch matches live or televised.

You’d think Minnen won this match watching the highlights, not gotten smoked by Osaka. Also WTA, your technology and promotion of this great product is horrendous. I feel like I’m watching Tracy Austin and Chris Evert in the early 80s. Buy some decent cameras. If the shadows are extreme, use the lower angle cameras. If you don’t have any cameras beside the zoom showing the server’s face and the top down camera from way above, BUY some.
And why is it nearly impossible for me to watch WTA matches in the USA? Coverage is scattered across multiple channels when it exists at all. Run your business like the ATP or the NFL, have a great app, a quality HD service featuring all matches at WTA events for a fair price, and watch your popularity grow. People can’t cheer on players very well when the venues are priced for the rich and the streaming coverage is a complete shambles.
GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER! The Tennis Channel only shows ATP matches and yet they actually interview WTA players. Their highlights are miles better than yours (you can see the ball for a start). And to get insight into tennis life behind the scenes, Dasha and Natasha’s “What the Vlog” series on YouTube is better than anything you’ve ever done.
I’m going to write an open letter to the WTA on behalf of the fans, complaining about EVERYTHING. Love the ladies, but the coverage is horrible. Seem to be using analogue camera technology and have no idea how to promote the sport.
