And now Osaka has run out of hard court tournaments 😂 actually her low ranking might help take the pressure off her on clay and grass as part of her problem on those surfaces is mental.

This is what makes it difficult to dominate in this era than the past decades. The top 100 is littered with so many Ostapenko's, Garcia and many others who have the talent to be top 5 players, but lack consistency. If they are having a good day, it's almost impossible to beat them.
Garcia needs every round to be against Osaka. That is the most motivated I've seen her. Her loss to Osaka earlier this year was also a banger. Caroline will lose next round, sadly.

After watching her at Indian Wells and Miami, it's obvious that Naomi Osaka is back! Caroline Garcia was just too good yesterday. Osaka is serving big, and hitting huge off the ground. That's the key for her. She just needs to keep playing and getting in better match shape. Eventually, she'll get better stamina and get in better shape. That takes time. Everyone can't come back after having a baby and be great right away like Kim Clijsters. But i'm convinced that Osaka will win more slams. She just has to get in better shape and stay hungry. It'll be interesting to see how she does in Europe, away from her daughter for an extended period of time.

As expected. NO needs to be innovative on her shot selection. Hope he would realise soon before it is too late.

Osaka seems a bit slow on her feet, maybe could lose a bit of weight?
The game has changed since Osaka won those 4 slams and took a leave from tennis for her mental health and her pregnancy. Any player in the top 20 or 30 can go toe to toe with her when it comes to power and ball striking. The next two slams are on clay and grass. She doesn't play that well on those surfaces. She may stand a chance at the US Open but it's not going to be easy.
FYI to the commentator: repeatedly exclaiming 'oh my goodness!' is stupid–even when said with an English accent
Garcia just played the match of her life, according to this video. It is very hard to play ultra aggresive and keep UE low for two sets.
What a great volley on match point! Man, do I miss Barty in womens tennis. Unlike men, most women cannot hit a volley if their lives depended on it.

I do not know how it is possible Coco Gauff is such a strong favourite against Garcia in next round. I would bet all in for Garcia to win.
Osaka will be grandslam champion again and again. I saw many chances of her finishing points earlier, she is work in progress. More matches, more confidence n she would conquer them all. Just remember she is only just back.
Naomi is done! In this sport u must be highly consistent. U can't be on and off. Motherhood has changed a lot for Naomi, I don't see her getting top 5

I wonder how much longer the wta will ignore the “super human strength” that some of the female tennis players are all of a sudden attacking the ball with..let’s be serious it’s not just Halep that’s doping! There needs to be regular drug testing for all professional tennis players! This is so ridiculous! Perhaps maybe then true tennis fans will fill all of those empty seats 😉
So happy to watch this match, two of my favorite players, two of the biggest talents with some of the most elegant serves and shot making. I do think they both belong in top 10.
If Osaka is Japanese why does she yell “Let’s go!” instead of “掛け声 (Kakegoe)!” or something similar?
