Nagaike Park is a park located in Tama New Town that was the setting for Studio Ghibli’s animated film “Heisei Tanuki Gassen Pon Poko.” “Heisei Tanuki Gassen Pon Poko” is set against the backdrop of the development of Tama New Town, and depicts raccoon dogs living in a city that is undergoing development. An exhibition of original paintings and background paintings was held at the Nagaike Park Nature Museum.

この作品は、杉浦茂の「八百八狸」の影響を受けて制作されており、主人公正吉を中心にデフォルメされた狸達の群像劇となっています。
タヌキたちは、先祖伝来の「化け学」を復興させ、人間たちに戦いを挑むことを決意します。タヌキたちはあの手この手で人間撃退作戦を展開しますが、なかなか成果が上がらない。そこへ四国からタヌキの三長老が到着し、化け学の粋を凝らした「妖怪大作戦」の発動が宣言されます。
