I critique the 2nd photobook from the graduated member of the popular idol group Nogizaka46 Saito Asuka ( 齋藤飛鳥 ) called ミュージアム or Museum. I review it from the point of view of a photographer and less as a fan, so it is more of a critique of the photos and the book as a whole. This photobook really takes a second look at it to truly appreciate it. Once the photographer and designer’s choices are taken into account, Asuka shines through the photos through the effort of all the staff. I will go over things such as lighting, posing, locations, mood, and editing. The book it 1000 times better in person than in scans and online so I recommend picking it up if you are a fan.

  1. Thank you for the new review. I must have watched all of the old ones a half dozen times each, so I am so happy to see this one. Asuka is arguably the most beautiful idol of all time, in my opinion, so it's great to see this one. Great job and be well.

  2. Josh, any thoughts on those one inch left-margins on some of those pages? just one-inch of empty white margins.

  3. I'd love to see a ranking of the photo book, a 1-10 against others so I can know what is a perfect book (10) versus a mediocre book (5)
