Shinichi Shinohara (Japan) vs David Douillet (France) at the +100kg men’s Judo final in 2000 Sydney Olympic.
As you see Shinohara obviously got ippon by Uchimatasukashi technique.
However chief referee and one sub referee judged it as Douillet’s yuko and another sub referee judged Shinohara’s ippon.
Even though the misjudgement apparently existed Shinohara had never made excuses and complained about this judge.
I hope horrible misjudement like this will never happen again for all of athletes and for true manly strongest Judoka Shinichi Shinohara.

2000年シドニー五輪男子柔道100Kg超級決勝戦でフランスのドゥイエが仕掛けた内股を篠原信一選手が内股すかしで一本！金メダル！と思いきや、まさかの誤審でドゥイエの有効ポイントに。
この信じがたい大誤審により、篠原選手は結局ポイント差を埋めることができず銀メダルに終わりました。
試合後、篠原選手は「自分が弱いから負けた」と、男らしく言い訳をすることはありませんでした。
後に有働由美子アナウンサーがすすり泣きながら経緯を報告していたのをやり切れない思いで見ていた人も多いのではないかと。
個人的には解説者になった篠原さんのボケや野村忠宏さんとの絶妙な漫談が大好なので、篠原さんにはこれからも解説者としても柔道家としても、ご活躍を期待しています。

フランス人は恥ずかしくないのか？サッカーにしてもとんでもないラフプレーしてたしな。
I was a 10-year-old kid when I was watching it on TV and I do still remember I was super confused and mad at the referee for the misjudgment he made at the biggest tournament like Olympic.
But I also still remember that Shinohara's post-match interview helped calm me down where he said "It was neither the referee's nor the opponent's fault. But it was definitely my fault because I was mentally so weak that I got phased by the misjudgment and couldn't be 100% focused after that. If only I was mentally stronger…". He moved Japanese people's heart more than those who won gold medals.
6:12 The commentator says "This is truely misjudgement. I can't underatand the French people can be happy under the circumstance."

I love judo today . They have one of the best vars and they got rid of koka and shido victories. Judo before 2017 was a crappy sport. Many victories by one shido

スポーツの世界は審判の判断は絶対。白でも審判が黒と判断したら黒日本人としてはこの行為は恥ずかしいですね。
内股透かしも誤審だし、片襟も奥襟も10秒くらい持っていても指導を取らないし最低の審判だったなこれ。
Ippon requires all Uke's back surface to be smashed on the tatami. That is clearly not the case. To me, Douillet deserved his win.

2人の表情を見れば2人とも分かってますね、ドゥイエ自身が一番負けを認めた表情ですね、あとフランスのコーチも負け認めた表情でしたね、ドゥイエが最後に両手を上げていたが、恥ずかしくないのですか、負けて金メダルなのに？背中が付いたことは本人が一番分かっているはずなのにね

しかしこれ、篠原とドゥイエの状況が逆だったら解説者はどう言ったんだろうね。「うーん、微妙ですが、審判の判断が絶対ですからねー」とかって誤魔化してたかもね。「公平な審判」とは要するに「自分らに有利に動いてくれる審判」ってことだもんね。

C’est à mon avis également clairement impôt pour le japonais… une erreur d’arbitrage qui, je pense, aurait moins de chance de se reproduire aujourd’hui. Je pense d’ailleurs que dans l’esprit, la défaite de Riner cette année y ressemble sauf que les arbitres ont pris la bonne décision et considérant l’action de son adversaire m.
On the replay clearly a ippon for Shinohara with a brilliant counter on Douillet’s Uchi Mata. That counter was beautiful Judo spirit, using the strength of the oponent. Pity that it finishes like that. That journalist will be unconsolable.

It would help if you looked at Douillet's face when he was thrown by Uchimata sukashi.
His face tells you that it was ippon for Shinohara.

I thought it was misjudgement too first, but it wasnt. David initiated the technique and Shinihara fell due to that technique
Only one Judoka was there to fight, it wasn't the French guy. Shinohara is a really great example of a Japanese Judoka.
