@dance_masterclass Born in Osaka, Japan, Misa Kuranaga has won several awards (the gold medal in the USA International Ballet Competition in Jackson and the gold medal in the Moscow International Ballet Competition), and was nominated for the Benois de la Danse. After being awarded a professional scholarship from the Prix de Lausanne, she joined San Francisco Ballet.
For more than 10 years now, Misa has danced as a principal dancer (Boston Ballet and San Francisco Ballet) and has performed in premiere galas around the world.
