Nandini Shenoy had a dream of where she wanted her life to go, but as a girl growing up in India, she also knew that she was more likely to become a doctor or an engineer (she chose the latter). Now she is the CEO of the multimillion-dollar media company Pinkvilla( which she built from nothing to become the top destination for Bollywood and Entertainment—for fans and celebrities alike. Shenoy is based in San Francisco, she found innovative ways to make the time difference between there and Mumbai (the Bollywood hub) work and give the company a competitive advantage. In this talk, she reveals how she made her unlikely dreams come true—and how others can do the same through persistence and hard work.
