劇作家・根本宗子による日本発の音楽喜劇（ブランニューオペレッタ）「Cape jasmine」。
2021年10月6日・7日東京・日本青年館ホールで計3公演が行われた。
とある新作ミュージカルに出演予定だった女優6人は、演出家が不在になったことを受け、
記者会見のスタイルで楽曲を順に披露することに。そこに現れた7人目の人物とは……。
ジャンルレスで豪華なキャスト陣と音楽スタッフにより、
稽古期間2週間、本番2日間だけというチャレンジングな企画にも関わらず
日本発のミュージカルその名も「ブランニューオペレッタ」を披露した。

Brand New Operetta “Cape jasmine”
A Japanese dramatist, NEMOTO, Shuko’s original musical, “Brand New Operetta; Cape jasmine” was performed for 3 stags at Nippon Seinenkan Hall on October 6th and on 7th , 2021.
In the play, 6 actresses who were planned to act in a new musical show, “Cape jasmine” gather on a stage. As the director suddenly disappeared for no reason, they decided to introduce each of their musical songs in the form of press conference. Who is going to emerge on the stage? What is the identity of the 7th person?
The stages were held only for 2 days, and the preparation period was just for 2 weeks.
Such inventive, and challenging project to hold Japanese original musical, “Brand New Operetta” was actualized by amazing musicians, and the splendid cast from diverse of fields.
