On January 25 at 7:00 PM (Japan Time), YOSHIKI will appear in a live conversation with renowned voice actor Yuki Kaji, best known for his role as Eren Yeager in the global hit anime “Attack on Titan.”
YOSHIKI will return to Japan from Los Angeles for this broadcast. The program will be livestreamed on YOSHIKI CHANNEL via YouTube (Worldwide) and Niconico Channel (Japan).
Yuki Kaji previously served as the narrator for the NHK documentary NHK MUSIC SPECIAL YOSHIKI Toward a Miraculous Stage, which followed YOSHIKI’s historic concert held in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. This livestream marks a special live discussion made possible through that documentary connection.
YOSHIKI composed the theme song Red Swan for Attack on Titan, while Yuki Kaji, who portrayed the series’ protagonist Eren Yeager, is widely acclaimed both in Japan and internationally as one of the leading voice actors representing Japanese anime culture. This marks the first time the two will sit down for a live discussion since the release of Red Swan in October 2018, approximately seven years ago. The official Red Swan music video continues to achieve remarkable viewership and is now approaching 80 million views. In addition, a special Red Swan live collaboration performance by YOSHIKI and Yuki Kaji is scheduled to take place during this program.
During the conversation, YOSHIKI and Kaji will explore how Japanese music and anime are being embraced across borders, sharing insights from their respective perspectives. They will also discuss the expanding possibilities of expression in an era shaped by rapid advancements in AI, examining the role of human creativity and how artists should engage with the world as creators in this evolving landscape.
Beginning at 8:00 PM (Japan Time) on the same day, Part 2, titled YOSHIKI vs AI YOSHIKI, will feature a live, in-depth dialogue between YOSHIKI and his AI counterpart. This real-time exchange with a rapidly evolving artificial intelligence is drawing significant attention as an ambitious attempt to embody the future of next-generation entertainment.
In an interview with The Nikkei, YOSHIKI spoke candidly about both the sense of crisis artists face with the emergence of AI and the new possibilities it may unlock, demonstrating a sincere and thoughtful engagement with the issue. His remarks generated a strong response, particularly within the creative industries. Building on this perspective, the upcoming dialogue between YOSHIKI and AI YOSHIKI is expected to provide a forum that explores these concerns while presenting new possibilities for the future of artistic expression.
In addition, YOSHIKI is scheduled to present his classical concert series, “YOSHIKI CLASSICAL 2026 The Night Before Awakening – Tokyo 3 Nights: Chapter One to the World,” in Tokyo in April 2026.
Ticket lottery applications for the concert will be accepted during the YOSHIKI CHANNEL advance lottery period, running from January 20 at 12:00 PM through January 29 at 11:59 PM (Japan Time). Registered YOSHIKI CHANNEL Niconico members will be eligible to apply for tickets in advance of the general public.
